"I have always loved Harold Faltermyer's music from The Running Man, so I took out a Novation Summit and thought I'd have a go at it in recreating some of my favorite pieces from the soundtrack. The only non-Summit sounds in the 3 parts is the percussion.

The Running Man is a 1987 American dystopian action film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, María Conchita Alonso, Richard Dawson, Yaphet Kotto, and Jesse Ventura. It is very loosely based on the 1982 novel of the same title written by Stephen King and published under the pseudonym Richard Bachman. The film's story, set in a dystopian United States between 2017 and 2019, is about a television show called The Running Man, where convicted criminal "runners" must escape death at the hands of professional killers."

Moog Subsequent 25 Synthesizer Hands-On Demo

"At the 2020 NAMM Show, Moog introduced the Subsequent 25, a portable paraphonic analog synthesizer, based on their Sub Phatty sound engine.

The new synth builds on the Sub Phatty analog synth, but implements upgraded sonic modifications and functional improvements. The Subsequent 25 also builds on the Sub Phatty by upgrading to wood side pieces, implementing the paraphonic functionality of Duo Mode and featuring the Subsequent series of user-requested performance adjustments

We talked with Moog product specialist Lisa Bella Donna, who gave us a quick demo of the Subsequent 25 and its new features."

"This is an excerpt from a collaboration between jazz legend and trumpet wizard Wadada Leo Smith and electronic music master Barry Schrader. Pacific Light and Water/Wu Xing - Cycle of Destruction is what Smith refers to as an 'overlay' composition, combining works by two composers. Schrader created a graphic score, available from Theodore Front Music, for live performers to follow and coordinate with the electronic music of Wu Xing."
