"Here's your chance to get one of the best poly analog synths ever made. The vintage Moog Memorymoog Plus (serial#3203) with LAMM upgrade (Lintronics Advanced Memorymoog modification). The LAMM upgrade was done around 2001/2002 plus about $1200 shipping cost each way thru ABX logistics. Original shipping label from Germany to USA is still attached. Done directly by Rudi Linhard. That's almost 20 years ago! This is probably one of the earliest unit with this mod. I believe the upgrade now will cost around $8000-$9000 with one year lead time.

I just have a well known bay area tech checked and went through the whole controls. It works & sounds awesome! All 6 voices tunes w/ the autotune at power up (short video uploaded on my instagram page "tristarmusicgear". I can provide his email & cell# if you have specific questions about this synth. No service was needed as it works great.

Cosmetically it is in very good cosmetic condition. Same owner for the last 20 years and it just stayed in a smoke free home environment. Few cosmetic flaws: an indent on the left sidecorner of the led display & scratches on the top chrome panel, scratch on the right side panel. Few marks here & there but looks very good for a 35+ year old synth.

Included are the Anvil Case, original warranty card, owner's manual, 2" thick service schematics, Lintronics manual, & power cord.

Case outside size/dimension: 43 x 21 x 10 inches (weighs 37 pounds). Synth with case weighs approx. 81 pounds"

"Missing a couple of the little colored caps for the switches. Super underrated."

Quarantine Sessions 2

Published on Mar 21, 2020 Ran Kirlian

"Second live jam recorded during Covid-19 quarantine in my home studio. This live performance follows a similar structure than the previous one, containing different improvised sound environments melted together with a strong presence of a minimal modular system. In this session the main synthesizers were the Soma Lyra-8 and the Nordrack 2x, both reinforced with The Amazing Noises Reverb on the iPad thru Lexicon Omega audio interface. Nordrack is played from Korg Nanokey, connected to the iPad as well and routed with Aum to the Omega interface to the synth MIDI in. Sadly not much can be seen in this video due to bad camera (or artist) position, but I hope you like the music instead.

With this live recordings I’m not only having fun while playing relaxed without my typical time limitations, but also expressing this unique experience of being confined at home, watching the news, seeing the empty streets from my windows and having a social life limited to my wife, my son and my cats beyond the electronic communications.

Part 1 - 00:00
Part 2 - 07:38

Part 4 - 23:29

Self Synthesizing

Published on Mar 21, 2020 George Benton

"Playing around with the sequencer to make a pattern with rests instead of straight 8th notes. Ended up making an 8-step + 8-step with different filter/envelope settings on each group using an electronic switch.
Of course, one thing leads to another... :)"

Introducing Elmyra - a DIY drone synthesizer by Neutral Labs

Published on Mar 21, 2020 nyppy

"This is just a quick demo of my Elmyra prototype. You can easily build this synth yourself. I will share the schematics, PCB and code in a few days. A video detailing all the features is also coming up. Just watch this space or drop me a message.

This is obviously inspired by the Soma Lyra-8, which I love, but it's not a clone at all.

Reverb provided by Eventide Space. Next video will have the dry sound as well. The Elmyra delay can get pretty reverb-y on its own.

Note this is the first post to feature Neutral Labs.

"I'm still learning this Tokyo Tape Music Center prototype Dual Sine-Saw Generator 158. Here it is providing the rich, spacious drone while the Buchla Music Easel's Complex oscillator explores the melodic landscape."
