Quyre - DSI Pro 2 Performance (with Strymon Flint and Boss DD-500)

Daniel Davis

SE Boomstar 3003 synthesizer demo (no talking, no effects)

Single Use

"There aren't a lot of bare bones tweaking demos of the Boomstar 3003 monosynth by Studio Electronics so figured I would post one. No effects or compression applied. Mostly using saw but some square in there too. The synthesizer has decent range though I would definitely say it leans towards rambunctiousness over precision. The filter being low pass and raw means it tends towards thick, wide spectrum sounds so can be a bit greedy in the mix. This is the original model so the legending and visibility is a bit jank. I definitely plan to add some colour to the knobs to make it easier to navigate quickly.

Been playing with it incessantly since I got it though which is a good sign - often just holding down a key and drooling. =)"

Meris x Korg Arp 2600 FS

Switched On

"We couldn't be happier to carry the incredible Meris collection of effects, so to highlight them we decided to process a simple sequence from the Arp 2600 and let the pedals do all of the heavy lifting!

Node Live at the Royal College of Music (Blu-ray)

A new release from supporting member, Node.

"Synth supergroup Node featuring Dave Bessell, Ed Buller, Flood and Mel Wesson have released a live bluray of their performance at London's Royal College of Music. Appearances of Node live are incredibly rare but when they happen they unleash their full 'shock and awe' arsenal of vintage analogue synths in a stage performance that is played entirely in real time. Featuring probably the largest collection of such synthesizers ever gathered on a single stage this is a rare opportunity to hear these vintage machines in full flight handled by masters of the art. Released as a limited edition of 500 - when they are gone they are gone.

If you don't have the means to play Bluray then no worries you can also get this live performance in audio cd or download from DiN records here - https://din.org.uk/album/node-live-din55"

277 Buchla Style Delay - Flanger Test Patch

djangosfire

"Building a lot of modules lately and having a lot of fun testing out the 277 digital delay – it has great feedback possibilities when patched back into itself... very much like a Flanger! Cheers, Adam"

Noise Engineering Blog: Ping processing & Filter pings for snare bodies

Noise Engineering

"From the blog: https://www.noiseengineering.us/blog/...

Here, we've sent a random trigger sequence and a random, unquantized CV sequence to our filter and processed it through the upcoming Desmodus Versio to create a haunting, semi-generative atmosphere."

Blog: Filter pings for snare bodies

"From the blog: https://www.noiseengineering.us/blog/...
Here, we're using a pinged filter to create a body for a snare. Adding filtered noise completes the snare voice, finishing a simple percussive patch."

Smiling Jam in E Minor // Novation Peak // Moog Sirin // Fugue Machine :: [synth recipe #79]

syncworm

"syncworm proudly presents:

Recipe #079
Ingredients:

– Fugue Machine (running on iPad Pro)
– Moog Sirin
– Novation Peak

– RME Babyface Pro

So, what's going on here?

AUDIO CONNECTIONS:
Nothing complicated here. Both Sirin and Peak go straight into the mixer/DAW.

MIDI/CLOCK:
iPad is a master clock in this one and sends MIDI information to both the instruments. In Fuguemachine you can assing a different MIDI chanel to each voice. Here three playheads are set to drive most of the voices on the Peak while a single playhead (different MIDI chanel) drives Moog.

MUSIC:
As far as I remember it's e minor pentatonic going in a loop which is nice beacuse most of the notes just go together pretty nicely.

Enjoy this little recipe and
STAY IN SYNC!"
