W0WA

video by C Nich0lls

"Single take recording from Cwejman S1. I was fortunate to pick up one of the last batch (in grey). Had been kicking myself for not getting one when they fist launched for several years. It is beautiful.
The recording had been sitting on my desktop for a couple of months. After hearing of Wowa's passing, I am sharing as an homage to the beautiful tone of this instrument and to the man that created it.
Recorded through Strymon;s Night Sky, the resonances seem to stretch out into the darkness.
Left unadorned for those who may want to take a moment and gaze at the Night Sky.
Thank you, for a beautiful instrument."

Added this one to the main post on Wowa Cwejman's passing here.

Corona Session 2 - A little lullaby

video by Jörg Schaaf

Jörg Schaaf Corona Sessions

"Everyone talks about Corona and Covid 19 every day. In most cases the result is a really depressing mood. The fear to get sick, the loneliness while staying home, all the missing friends etc. Really disgusting. We should start to see Covid 19 as a chance. The chance to find time to realize things, you would not get done in normal times. I for example finished my album in 2020, grew vegetables in my garden and spent more time than ever with my hobbies. I did not spent so much time in my pub. So, I drunk less beer. All that are positive aspects. I even started jogging in 2020.

That’s the reason, I call my night sessions from now on Corona sessions. Just to help you guys seeing that pandemic as a chance as well. You have one life! So, spend time with yourself and do something, you always wanted to do but never found the time to do. I prepared a nice little video studio at a rent place and I can go there whenever I want to and can perform music and shoot videos. That is a great pleasure for me.

Here is Corona Session 2. For the first time, I added some little fog to the performance. That gives hopefully an illusion of a real live concert.

When my favorite pub Klimbim in Gießen is opened again, the final Corona session will take place and a new name will be born.
Little improvisation with the following machines:
2x Delta CEP A (the percussive sequence and the solo/meldody leadsynth)
1x Accelerator (All the pads)
1x Spectralis (The massive bass sequence)
2x Keystep keyboards. One of them plays the sequence, that runs on Delta CEP A 1.

CherryCherry Audio Releases Polymode Synthesizer Plugin

Polymode patches video by boxoftextures

"OK, I’ve owned the new Cherry Audio Polymode Synthesizer for about an hour and a half and have already made five fine patches. Should have full patching video ready tomorrow. Totally worth getting even if you already have the Polymode Module.

Cherry Audio Polymode was released today. It was actually previously released as a module version as you can see in additional posts here. The following is a quick promo video for the new release.

Cherry Audio | Polymode Synthesizer
video by Cherry Audio

"The latest Cherry Audio instrument is here! Joining the ranks of the lauded DCO-106, CA2600, and MG-1 Plus comes the Polymode Synthesizer.

The Polymode Synthesizer is inspired by the groundbreaking Moog Polymoog synthesizer. One of the world’s first polyphonic synthesizers, its unique multiple parallel filter implementation and mod routings give it a sound like no other synth, The original Polymoog sounded incredible but could be challenging to operate and was prone to breakdowns.

Cherry Audio’s Polymode sidesteps all of the drawbacks of the original instrument and massively expands its capabilities. With a streamlined user interface and immense modulation capabilities, Polymode sets a new standard for animated, sonically evolving string, pad, and choral tones."

Bleass Slow Machine is Amazing and Inspiring!

video by Electronisounds Audio

I check out the new Bleass Slow Machine (Tape Stop Effect) on iPad.
It is really creatively inspiring and within a few minutes of playing with it, I was already recording bits out into the AKAI MPC Live to make an actual track with, which I share at the end of the video.
This one is a MUST-HAVE APP!
Thanks for watching!

"Get it now! http://apple.co/36Bbjbb

Thanks to 3 different yet complementary ways of manipulating time with creativity, BLEASS Slow Machine can deepen any beat by completely or partially slowing down the audio signal, transform epic leads into heavy basses, and add some 'tape stop' effect with precision either by touching the X/Y Stop trigger, or by dialing in precise sequence automations."

"The SH-2000, introduced in 1973, is Roland’s second synthesizer and is essentially a limited version of the . Like the 1000, it is a single-oscillator monophonic analog preset synthesizer designed to sit atop a home organ. This SH-2000 was meticulously cleaned/serviced internally by our in-house technician:

-Replaced all electrolytic capacitors.
-Cleaned and tinned traces and hard wired sub-modules to main PCB.
-Cleaned all switches
-Cleaned keybed assembly
-Pulled pins and tensioned/cleaned molex connectors.
-Completely tuned and calibrated."

"From Kraut-Rock to Prog to New Wave to Post-Punk, the Solina String Ensemble has been on hundreds of tracks through out the 70s and 80s! Often simulated, but nothing compares to the original. This has to be one of the cleanest examples we've seen come through our shop , sounds absolutely gorgeous. Soft bag included.

SE-IV model: stereo outputs!"

Oberheim Matrix-12 (USA, Unique "De-Clicked"!)

"Super clean. I'm really picky about noise floor, so much so that I had a tech create a special "de-click" mod for this unit. All Matrix 12's and Xpanders have a random periodic static sounding click that's pretty quiet and normally not noticed, except in quiet moments. With a slightly modification to one of the ICs, this is the only unit I know of that doesn't have that issue! (This clicking issue has been confirmed on USA and Japanese versions of both the Matrix 12 and Xpander) Totally functional, cosmetically very nice for a vintage instrument. Individual outputs. USA version with power supply and other components recently checked. As good as it gets!"
