Wavparty - Vanilla DRM1 sample pack

video by wavparty

"Get it now: https://wavparty.com/downloads/vanill...

We’re trying something a little different with this pack: CLEAN SOUNDS! This pack contains nothing but pure, crisp sounds recorded directly from a Vermona DRM1 MKIII. That’s not to say things don’t get weird–the DRM1 has plenty of range all on its own."

Full interview: UNO Synth Pro and the SSI integrated circuits: interview with the creators

video by ikmultimedia

"UNO Synth Pro’s first-class analog sound is achieved by combining a superior design architecture with discrete core oscillators and two filters, one of which is based on a new chip from Sound Semiconductor, Inc. SSI was founded by Dave Rossum and Dan Parks, two members of the team that created the famous SSM integrated circuits back in the ‘70s and early-‘80, which revolutionized the development of that era's analog synths. IK’s Erik Norlander speaks with the two about their legacy and uncovers the significance of the new SSI chip inside UNO Synth Pro."

Six Waldorf Pulse cascaded to build a Poly-Synth

video by Stereoping

"Three demos for using six #Waldorf #Pulse in a cascade. The Pulse allows polychaining up to 12 units in total. I only can demo six Pulses here :-(
Selecting programs or making edits on the 1st Pulse in the cascase immediately updates all connected units. This works perfect as well in conjunction with the #SynthProgrammer.
Demo 1 is sonically bothersome, you might want to lower the volume as it demonstrates monophonic unison spread. Starting with all units in tune, they are individually detuned by Mastertune. Then pitch is modulated by LFO - in fact it's 6 individually running LFOs! Then DCO2's pulsewidth is modulated by second LFO (6 more LFOs). Finally both DCOs are detuned against each other and DCO 3 adds even more bottom. It ends in an interesting 6 voice/6 LFO sawtooth siren.
Demo 2 ( 2:02 ) is nicer, it sets the cascade in polymode resulting in a 6 voice polyphonic synth. Between 3:10 and 3:20 you might want to close your eyes because i had to turn my head multiple times to left and right - with attached cam.

Demo 3 ( 4:38 ) finally plays a relaxing arpeggio while the Pulses are altered individually in panning, cutoff and level making the arpggio more lifely.
Additonal gear used: #Cthulhu VST plugin for arpeggiation, TR-0815 DIY-Drumbox synched over midi clock and #Vermona DRM Drumbox triggered over midi. The Pulses are mixed with a #Roland #M-12E."

A Very Quick Test Of The New Cherry 8 Voice (No Speaking, One Patch!)

video by Jyoti Mishra

"The patch is from scratch, I'm just doing my normal homage to Vangelis, always a good way to check out how massive a synth can go.
Internal delay and reverb only, this is *purely* the plugin you're hearing! :-)

DISCLAIMER - I bought this for £20 ($29), it's not a freebie!"

MC-4 Electro Jam

video by ALM TV

"The Roland MC-4 was an early microprocessor based sequencer released by Roland in 1981.

In this patch Pam is synced via Din Sync to the Roland MC-4 clock. Pam is then used to sequence a drum pattern using mainly the Squid Salmple (and Akemies Taiko).

The MC-4 CV outputs are used to provide melody and some modulation to 3 MCO's."

The Minimoog: Archetype of a Synthesizer

video by moogfoundation

"Tickets for our 2021 Minimoog raffle are over halfway sold out!

Check out our gorgeous Model D in custom African Makore wooden cabinet and buy your tickets to enter the raffle: http://bit.ly/MinimoogRaffle2021

The raffle is open internationally from March 1, 2021 until 11:59pm ET on March 29, 2021, or until all 4,500 tickets sell out, whichever comes first.

Funds raised from the raffle will be used to expand the Foundation’s hallmark educational project, Dr. Bob’s SoundSchool, currently inspiring over 3,000 elementary school students per year through the science of sound. The raffle will also help support the Moogseum, an immersive, experiential facility located in Asheville, NC, which brings Bob Moog’s legacy and the science of sound and synthesis alive for people of all ages. The Moogseum was closed for five months in 2020 due to the pandemic.

The vintage Minimoog Model D being offered, serial number 8903, was built at Moog Music's Buffalo, NY-era factory during the late 1970s, has an estimated value of $6,500, and will only go up in value given the highly coveted nature of the synthesizer. This Minimoog has been carefully restored and future-proofed by the renowned synthesizer technician Wes Taggart of Analogics, and is in excellent technical condition. Taggart, also a lauded woodworker, fabricated the custom cabinet from rare African Makore wood, which is known for its beauty, strength, and durability.
