First Encounter // XAOC Devices Odessa + Zadar

video upload by Genshi Media Group

"This is my first exploration with the XAOC Devices Odessa Harmonic Oscillator and Zadar Quad Envelope Generator, minutes after unboxing. This is edited down from an hour-long session so as not to completely bore everyone as I fumbled my way through these fairly deep modules. Hopefully, you will find moments of interesting alien sci-fi soundscapes within... additional modulation from Xaoc Batumi. Reverb and Delay effects via Mutable Instruments Beads."

NAMM 22: Eventide - Misha

video upload by sonicstate

"In our second encounter with Misha, Steve De Furia demonstrates some more applications of Eventide's instrument and interval based sequencer.

When mapped to a piano keyboard, Misha allows for easy exploration of key and melody, turning simple keyboard playing into much more sophisticated output. Misha can also be mapped to a sequencer, changing key along with the backing tracks, allowing the player to improvise without having to think about intervals and key changes.

Eventide Misha Available: October 22 Price 599 USD"

NAMM 22: Conductive labs - MRCC Xpander 4X1 And Micro 88

video upload by sonicstate

"The Conductive Labs MRCC is a MIDI router with 11 inputs and 17 outputs, including 5 PIN DINs, 3.5MM MIDI jacks in both flavors, 4 USB host ports, and a USB MIDI class compliant client (PC, Mac, tablet, etc.) connection with 12 MIDI ports, though it can function without a computer.

Darryl introduced us to the MRCC Xpander 4X1, which gives an additional 4 DIN inputs and 1 DIN out to the MRCC, and also functions as a class-compliant usb interface allowing for 4 outs and one in or it can merge 4 ins into one out

For those of us with the need for fewer ins and outs, Darryl also introduced the Micro 88, a slimmed-down MRCC with 4 DIN ins and outs, 2 TRS-A MIDI jacks, virtual USB MIDI ports, clock filter, channel splits and, in response to public demand, a power switch.

Conductive Labs Xpander 4X1 and Micro 88 Available: August 22

Xpander 4X1 Price: 79 USD

Micro 88 Price: 149 USD

New Stargazer firmware

video upload by Møffenzeef Mødular

"New alternate firmware for Stargazer!
https://github.com/moffenzeefmodular/...

This firmware was designed by Oui Ennui: https://ouiennui.com/

Change log:
1.) The "sub" switch is now for turning quantization on the main oscillator on and off. When down, the stargazer behaves as it normally does as a free running oscillator. When turned up the notes are quantized chromatically from note A0 to A4 in 440hz concert pitch.
2.) The detune knob changes it's behavior when quantize switch is engaged. Now when the switch is activated, it's chromatic range is -2 octaves to +2 octaves in relation to the main oscillator. It will always retail it's harmonic relationship with the root pitch from the main oscillator.
3.) LFO1 now controls the amplitude of the primary oscillator and not filter1 cutoff.
4.) LFO2 now controls the amplitude of the secondary oscillator and not the main volume of the unit.
5.) The overall frequency range of the main and secondary oscillator has been restricted to 27.5hz - 440hz in free running mode. This free running frequency range correlates to the A0-A4 change when quantize is engaged.

***In the "alt" firmware above, the only difference is that the expression pedal is now mapped to the secondary oscillator mix knob instead of the main wavetable selection knob."
