JEC Running Up That Hill - Fairlight Drone EXPANDED

video upload by James Edward Cosby

Update:

"Here are the settings required to recreate the #FairlightCMI #Drone used on #KateBush #RunningUpThatHill in #StrangerThings

The original was produced using a hardware CMI but anyone with an iPhone or iPad, can get a good approximation using the Peter Vogel CMI App available on the Apple App Store...

https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/peter-v...

The #CMI App does not have a low-pass filter so subsequently the resultant drone is brighter than the released version therefore a low-pass filter or eq will be required to adjust the tone to match the original. Oh and wear headphones!!!

The Fairlight samples and settings used are as follows... (Only one note is used per voice to match the original hardware and to increase the tuning and pan spread for a very wide stereo mix.)"

Tape Eurorack Modular Jam 📻

video upload by Andrea Marzilli

"That’s why I fell in love with my modular system: easiness and complexity. A constant research for this conflicting dualism. With sounds and notes.

In this jam, a simple triangle waves from @mutableinstruments Plaits meets the beautiful @noiseeng Desmodus Versio, who introduces Stages and Tides as modulations. @qubitelectronix Bloom is the guidance.
@arturia_official Tape Mello Fi gives this cassette mood to the entire family.
Hope you enjoy them. 📻

Headphones recommended. 🎧"

SubSequence | Using the Moog Subharmonicon as a sequencer.

video upload by Cinematic Laboratory

"One of the best features of the Moog Subharmonicon is its sequencer, providing only 2x4 notes, but with four clock dividers supporting polyrhythmic patterns that don't have obvious repeats. I think it's the most important feature that made me get one, but after playing with it for a while I really start to appreciate the sound too. it's a module that delivers instant fast food at first patch, and haute cuisine when you spend some time with it.
In the first part of the video I get lost while setting things up, so this can happen to you too! I'll try to route the sequencer CV to a quantizer (Ornament & Crime) to check if I can 'escape' the 2x4 notes and built in scales (it works!). And finally I'll hook up the MakeNoise 'Shared Museum' and drive it with the Subharmonicon's resources"

Buchla Easel Command 208C - From the Balcony

video upload by TheTrackdriver

"I played my Buchla Easel Command 208C on my balcony. The Buchla is recorded on an Uher 4200 Report Stereo IC tape recorder. A simple drum pattern is running from an Elektron Octatrack and recorded on an Aiwa TP-721. The drums were further processed through an Elektron Analog Heat."
