German Rackmount Yamaha TG77, TG33, CPX, Synthax RACKWare RG 124 & Kawai MAV-8

This one was spotted and sent in via M Me.

Interesting rig. You'll find a picture of the back below with the TG33. This is the first post to feature the Hybrid Arts CPX computer module. Hybrid Arts also made the ADAP SOUNDTRACK SAMPLER ADAP-1. If anyone has any info on the CPX, feel to leave a comment. Curious if it's simply a computer with an editor for the TG77 and TG33, or it's own synth/sample playback module. Take a look at the back below. The Synthax RACKWare RG 124 appears to be the monitor for the system, and the Kawai MAV-8 is a midi patchbay.

It's interesting to see the TG77 and TG33 in a different enclosure.

"Unrehearsed impromptu for practice editing with updated video software. Monitoring through DAW was laggy, so it’s mostly noodling. Hopefully just enough to get a rough idea of how program timbres behave. Over 20 minute long vid and no crashes, yay. Had to break it into 2 pieces for youtube, boo."

"Video demo in description was done by a friend from out of state and is this EXACT synth you will be purchasing. Video is 2 parts long and demonstrates all presets including the 1 custom patch. Sadly the stereo output was not featured in the demo, so in the video you hear the synth in typical mono output, with some simple effects down stream. If you want to hear the synth in a more musical setting, I recommend you watch Alex Ball's YouTube video 'Jupiter 6: The Dystopian Synth'."

"The Ritm-2 synthesizer made by VG-Line is a direct recreation of the ’80s Soviet one-osc monophonic analogue synthesizer, РИТМ-2 also known as Ritm Dva or Rhythm-2, in a form of small-sized desktop module, which can be controlled via MIDI or CV/Gate."

BeatCutter app (iOS/macOS) updated to version 1.9

BeatCutter - Hard trip video upload by Igor Vasiliev

"BeatCutter app (iOS/macOS) on iPad slicing eight simple melodic loops to chaotic ambient by using new dataset "Slow immersion" to the rhythm of GarageBand drum machine. More about this and other apps - https://motion-soundscape.blogspot.com
AppStore - https://apps.apple.com/app/beatcutter...
~
BeatCutter is an experimental multi-channel application for slicing and recombining sound based on rhythm. In the center of the application is a matrix of sample cells with smoothly reconfigurable recording, playback and control busses. This application is best for those who would like to experiment with large audio files or live instruments, creating chaotic constructions and patterns from sliced rhythm-driven samples."

via Motion Soundscape:

"This update adds three new datasets that are great for slicing long, smoothly changing multi-timbral samples or external sources. Datasets are used to set specific parameter values when using a template.

Also: Fixed an issue where files added from other apps were not saved in presets. Fixed problem with starting playback in some DAWs (particularly GarageBand). Updated description and fixed some minor bugs."

The Pro-One is one of my favorite synths for hard analog bass sounds. Perfect for electro, industrial and dark wave.

bass and lead synthesizer sounds: Sequential Pro-One (1981)
drums: Linndrum (1982)
additional sounds and fx Emulator II (1984)
recording: multi-track recording

The Sequential Pro-One Synthesizer from the year 1981 is a fantastic monophonic analog synth. Here can you find the full Pro-One playlist with single sound demos and one synth demo tracks. Enjoy.

NAMM 2023 - Eon-One.net - Netherblade

video upload by sonicstate

"Eric Netherland of Eon-One.Net showed us the Netherblade, a MIDI controller that has a sound engine which can run any plug-in, be it samples, physical modeling, granular, digital, or any other type of plug-in. It has a real-time pitch bend feature that can bend any note to any other note polyphonically.

Eric handbuilds each Netherblade, and there are only a few of them in existence as he mostly builds them to order. The price range is between $2,400 and $2,700, depending on the CPU and memory and whether the customer wants a painted or natural finish. The Netherblade has three interface types: keyboard, Fretboard, and a grid for triggering drums and other sounds.

Netherblade Price: 2,400 - 2,700 USD

The Netherblade is a unique and expressive musical instrument. Stylish, precise, fast, and fun to play. This is the first MIDI controller that can accurately bend pitch from any note to any other note on a standard keyboard, fretboard or grid layout. There is virtually no learning curve for any keyboardist or guitarist although there are infinite open doors to create new techniques. Independent per-note pitchbending is seamless and fluid with nothing in the way of sliding to any interval in any direction whilst remaining in tune. Vibrato is natural and intuitive with no need for fixed LFO modulation. The instrument allows a players character to come thru so no two performances will sound exactly alike

Response time is lightning fast and, with no moving parts, can play faster than a standard keyboard.

Pitch and articulation are separated for easier control. With the integrated XYZ pad, you can simultaneously modify 3 MIDI controllable parameters while playing and bending notes in real time. Examples: volume, timbre, harmonics, muting, effects, etc. Additional switches provide octave up/down and configurable keyswitching.
