When I sit down with Syntakt most often these hypnotic trips flow out. Syntakt is capable of great textures. Today is freedom day in The Netherlands hence the name of this jam (released). There's an obvious dissonance between this celebration and what goes on elsewhere in the world.

This groove was completely made with Syntakt. Post processing: a slight mid EQ dip, compression, subtle OTO boum comp+saturation."

"When you deal in vintage synths, attention to detail is essential, because every physical control or electronic component has the potential to be problematic. So we test our gear multiple times systematically over an extended period (with a long burn in test) to make sure we don’t overlook anything. Many of our so called competitors dont, which is why we have many loyal customers. In this video, we are systematically testing the last of 8 Simmons SDS7 modules. Its a boring but necessary process. Anyone familiar with sds7 editing knows that one push of the wrong button and the sound you were editing is erased and you’ve gotta start over. This only happened once while testing this set of modules. 😂

"I just set up the patch and then let the Eurorack Modular play by itself. Nothing very dramatic happens but I was enjoying listening to it so I thought some of you might as well?

"Berlin-based composer, singer, pianist and vintage and modular synth devotee Lisa Morgenstern first came to significant public attention with the release of Chameleon in 2019. Her compelling live performances led to concerts across Europe with artists including Ólafur Arnalds, Joep Beving and Max Cooper, as well as at festivals and prestigious venues, from Iceland Airwaves to the Reeperbahn Festival at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.

Most recently she was hired to co-compose the score to one of Netflix's priority drama series of 2022, The Empress, and additional studio collaborations with artists such as Casper, Balmorhea and Aukai. Live shows with the renowned Bulgarian Voices Berlin choir and, separately, the Munich Radio Orchestra meanwhile won further acclaim, with both institutions subsequently crucial to Morgenstern's upcoming album, for which she also wrote the complex arrangements.
