MeloDicer save and recall patterns
video upload by John Schussler
"One of the killer features of the Vermona MeloDicer is the ability to save and recall patterns. Press the C button, select a slot with the encoder, and press the encoder. Saved. Press the D button, select a slot with the encoder, press the encoder...loaded! Easy and quick."
Working out a new audio circuit for the Great Conjunction 2op FM Fragment Synth
video upload by Arman Bohn
"Every week the wonderfully purple, Great Conjunction, gets a little tiny bit closer to being completed. No major breakthroughs on the software front but I did squash a few bugs and probably created a few more. I spent a good deal of time reworking the PCB to incorporate a new audio output circuit. I’ve ordered up most of the parts that I’ll need for the next batch of five prototypes, and I hope to order of the prototypes within a week."

The GC provides most of the melodic and chordal work here, with key changes coming from the M8. The Phantasmal Force is simply controlling the volume levels on the M8, which is itself providing the bass and drums."

Wavestate SE Pre-Order is currently $1999 on Korg's Reverb site here. The Platinum Edition runs $2199 here. The Wavestate MK2 is not currently listed.
"Organic, inspirational, and mind-blowingly powerful, wave sequencing 2.0 is expanding its lineup to include wavestate SE, wavestate Limited Edition Platinum, and wavestate mkII.
In 2020, the acclaimed wavestate brought the the legendary Wavestation's Wave Sequencing synthesis to the next level. Featuring the radically re-imagined Wave Sequencing 2.0, the wavestate delivers astonishing, ever-changing sounds with extensive hands-on control, taking cues from sources as diverse as modular synths, groove boxes, and algorithmic composition.
The mk2 expands its unique palette of lush, evolving pads and driving rhythms with improved polyphony (96 stereo voices), new and updated sounds, and a refreshed look. It has 4 GB of user space to import samples and its compact form-factor, with 37 full-size keys, transports easily and fits neatly into any stage, studio, or desktop setup.
Made in Japan, the wavestate SE features Korg’s premium 61-note natural-touch keyboard with aftertouch, for the same superb feel as Korg’s high-end workstations. Aftertouch provides fingertip control of the wavestate's unique, evolving sounds.
Factory Performances have been updated for Aftertouch, and new sounds have been added as well.Under the hood, wavestate SE also features an astounding 120 stereo voices of polyphony–almost twice as many as the original wavestate, and also includes 4 GB of space to import your own samples.
The metal body is sleek and strong, ready for gigs and studio alike. The metal knobs have just the right weight for easy tweaking.
wavestate SE is also available in a Limited Edition Platinum finish. And both versions ship in a dedicated hard case, including space for cables and a sustain pedal."

Live Quadraphonic Mixing in Bitwig Studio
video upload by nbor
"Download the Grid device here! https://bitwiggers.com/presets/684872...
Recently, I've been lucky to perform live sets in Quadraphonic audio. I developed some tools in Bitwig Studio to create animated soundscapes for four speakers. Using modulators and the FX Grid, I can create a huge variety of spatial audio patterns. However, Bitwig isn't really designed for this, so there's a few things you need to do to work around its stereo "bias." Despite the few hacks, it works really well, and sounds amazing. This video gives an overview of how to make everything work."
Juneteenth charity release - Post-P/C / HSynf::DRNY#2 by LSZ & NYZ
noyzelab:
"LSZ and NYZ are returning with a split of new drone material for the occasion of Juneteenth, where Bandcamp donate 100% of their share to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. All income generated on our side with this split will also, now and forever, be donated to the same organization. It is the sincere hope of the two sound recordists that this music exists as a balm of comfort for escaping from a world that is far too miserable for far too many people.
