"A beat gets added at 3:35 to demo the full sound of the machine, but otherwise this is just the sound of the Hewlett-Packard 241A oscillator (into the Heathkit ID-4101, padded down by a Rucci passive mixer) sent into the modulation circuit on the Maestro Rhythm King MK4. Each available preset is selected so that you can hear how the circuit chops up the external audio in relation. You can also combine two or three presets for more complex rhythms."

Drums are analog bassdrum and analog snaredrum inspired by the famous Roland TR-808 Drum computer combined with a two tracks trig sequencer inspired by the unique Mutable instrument GRIDS sequencer. Many thanks to Emilie GILLET, creator of Mutable instruments, to let me use and customize his sequencer.

Casio Casiotone CT-320 keyboard (1985) with SuperDrums!!

All sounds you hear in the track were made using the Casio CT-320 and recorded to a DAW, where reverb was added. Two of the parts were played through a Boss DD7 delay pedal for some added interest. The aim of these videos is to see what you can create using sounds from ageing home keyboards together with current production tools.

A full-size version of the MT-52, the CT-320 wins points just as a beatbox alone with its Super Drums feature, which allows for individual drum elements (kick, snare, conga, hi-hat) to be switched to one of 3 different pattern variations within a rhythm selection, allowing for plenty of customisation.
