Best Selling Electronic Gear in 2023

Reverb's Best Selling Electronic Gear in 2023 list is up.

"Key takeaways

Clinching the top spot once again, the OP-1 has now topped our best-selling electronic gear lists for five years straight. It's perhaps an easier decision than ever to buy the tiny powerhouse. Thanks to the release of the new OP-1 Field and distance from peak-pandemic pricing, the OP-1's average used price has dropped more than $200 since January 2022. (The OP-1 Field sneaks into the top 20 this year too.)

It should be noted that a lot of folks bought Polyend Trackers this year. Back in August, Polyend cut prices on the full-sized versions, first in its official Reverb shop and then elsewhere, following the introduction of the Tracker Mini. Having not made the list at all last year, the Tracker ranks 19 in 2023—and that's after excluding purchases made from the company's Reverb shop."

"907A Fixed Filter Bank (3mU)

The Moog 907A Fixed Filter Bank has 8 band pass filters and 2 shelf filters (e.g. low pass and high pass). The filters do not have gain but each has an attenuator control. Each bands frequency is selected by the large inductor coils as indicated with the square phenolic PCB material. The 907A + 905 is one juicy, thick, rich, delicious Dreamcicle combo."

FH-2 Shift Register Random Quantized CVs (2)

video upload by Expert Sleepers

"'Shift Register Random Quantized CVs' from the FH-2.

About three years ago I posted a video on YouTube titled 'disting EX generative piano patch', which used an FH-2 to clock a disting EX running the random CV generation, driving another disting EX playing the multisampled piano.

The random CV generation is now (firmware 1.22) in the FH-2, so we can do the same with one less module. In fact, we can do better, since the FH-2 has more outputs - here there are three random patterns each driving a CV/gate pair on the disting EX.

No human interaction until about 1:30 where I drop out the patterns one at a time. No audio processing - you're hearing the direct output of the disting EX."
