I hear a Witch | MakeNoise Strega, Mellotron, Phonogene, Versio - #jamuary2024 Day 14
video upload by Cinematic Laboratory
"I revisited my Black Easel case from the first week, but the fun thing about a modular is that you can use it in infinite ways. There's this statement about music that every note, riff or chord progression is already done, so mathematically it's impossible to make something new. It's a frustrating, demotivating and silly idea because it's not true. Sunday is a perfect day to do some witchcraft, shoot zombies and learn something new."
The AtoVproject Dual Harmonic Oscillator is a monster!
video upload by Tom Churchill
"This is a rich, complex-sounding patch based around the Dual Harmonic Oscillator from AtoVproject. It’s a big, super-powerful module with two triangle-based VCOs that offer four octaves worth of harmonics, as well as regular sine, saw and pulse outputs via the expander. I’ll be covering it in more detail in a dedicated video soon, but in the meantime check out DivKid’s excellent deep dive if you want to know more about it: [posted here]
In this patch, it produces four melodic layers, with everything driven from a simple 8-step sequence out of the Jasmine & Olive Trees Traffic module switched over to the Water firmware. Joranalogue Filter 8 provides some quadrature LFO modulation to control the levels of the harmonics, and ALM Pamela’s Pro Workout provides clock, trigger patterns and transpose voltages. I’m also using the Nekyia Circuits Obsidian for some extra LFOs, and the Sosumi LPG on two voices - full video coming soon on all the Nekyia stuff, it’s great! Reverb is Valhalla Supermassive (in the box).

QV-L Deep Dive : Introduction, UI Walkthru, Performance Techniques.
video upload by Five12 Inc.
"Hey All! This time around we're going to take the Quad Variable LFO for a spin. Join us for a series of demos and discussion on this still fairly new, quickly evolving module. Our special guest this time is Chris Meyer of Alias Zone and LearningModular.com. We'll be playing some of his music, as well as talking about how he uses modulation in his modular setup."

Autumnism - Benge on the Buchla 100
video upload by Memetune Studio
"Benge Buchlaisms - 'Autumnism'
https://modulisme.bandcamp.com
https://zackdagoba.bandcamp.com
This is a multi-tracked piece made exclusively on the Buchla 100 synthesiser
The modules in the left-hand cabinets are all original vintage units made in the 1960s (apart from the middle 144 VCO which is my own clone made before the current slew of clones released since 2018)
The patch makes use of many oscillators going into the 191 Sharp Cutoff Filter, in bandpass mode, as well as other layers using the Frequency Shifter and Noise Sources
The Random module is a big part of the patches, as well as the Sequencers
But perhaps the most important modules in any patch on the 100 are the 156 CV Processors. This is because of the way Don designed the system, leaving off the CV processing from most modules. So for example, most functions on the modules have voltage control inputs, but no scaling knobs or mixers on them, so the 156 modules are used for this task
In general, I approached the patching for this piece in a fairly ad-hock manner, and just enjoyed patching and playing with the system as I went along, with no particular goal other than exploring the Buchla's warm sonic possibilities, on a very cold, wet, autumnal day"

BONUS PATCH - Using Neo Trinity as a Drum Machine?!
video upload by Oscillator Sink
Follow-up to Bastl Introduces Neo Trinity - 6-Channel Compact Modulation Hub
"Here's a little bonus patch that I couldn't fit into my main video on the Neo Trinity, but I thought was worth sharing. This is a drum machine made out of Neo Trinity and 2 VCAs. The sequencing and all the sounds are being generated by Neo Trinity. The sounds are made by "abusing" LFO channels to run at audio-rate, so this is somewhat of an extension of the self-playing patch I showed in my main video.
Transparency notice: this video is sponsored by Bastl - thanks to them for supporting the channel."
Experimenting With Modcan Touch Sequencer Controlling uBraids
