"My music is influenced by YMO and JAPAN. I am especially conscious of the sounds of 'BGM' and 'TinDrum'. These sounds are preset on my Prophet-5. I will continue to use them from now on."
Dutch Modular Fest 2024 | Artistic Impression
video upload by Cinematic Laboratory
"Dutch Modular Fest, Saturday August 31st, 2024
dB music facilties, Utrecht.
I wish DMF was every month, somewhere. But it's not. It's our Dutch annual event, celebrating the modular community and nearby manufacturers. I can't do interviews like DivKid and Mylar, and there's no 'best of show' except maybe all of them. Thanks to Allert Aalders (Sonar Traffic, Modulation) and Veerle Pennock (Acid Solder Club) for making this happen. And all the people who volunteered, participated, engineered, served and performed.
This video is sponsored by the Lab, with compliments."

BOARDS OF CANADA - Beware the Friendly Stranger (Prophet REV2 Cover)
video upload by nicola neeco
"I love BOC’s short tracks & interludes: they’re little gems, always full of details just like the complete tracks.
I made this cover slower than the original and without the crackling background noise so you can fully appreciate this beautiful melody.
This track is also featured in Salad Fingers, the British animated web series created by @davidfirth in 2004 (a series with a very good foley and sound design, in my opinion)

AMS 3 - Socialist East Germany's Massive Modular
video upload by HAINBACH
"Synthesizers had it hard in Socialist East-Germany - Socialist Realism was for a long time the prevailing art form. An instrument that creates unreal sounds was not endorsed by the SED leadership. Only in the waning years of the GDR (or DDR as it is called in German) that changed, with the Vermona Synthesizer coming out in 1982. The first officially sanctioned modular synthesizer, the Audiotronic AMS3 featured in this video was built between 1986 and 1988 for the Electro-Acoustic Studio of the Akademie der Künste.
