"I bought this at VEMIA about five years ago It's only got the original OS in it (1.00) but it sounds so good I didn't upgrade it, so its the same as when Orbital used it. all I've done to it is carefully clean the case, coming from a pro environment it had the remains of gaffer tape etc.. Its now better to look at as well as good to play. I didnt change any of the existing programs so you might recognise some??

Subsequent to that I used the MPC60 with many artists and producers I have worked with from Julian Lennon to Hugh Cornwall to Peter Hammill etc etc.. The MPC60 flight case has an issue with the foam which is starting to disintegrate, and needs replacing. The MPC60 is is in full working order however aesthetically it bears the life of having done many sessions with me and has travelled pretty much everywhere with me on sessions here and abroad. Until I bought my MPC3000 from Level 42 I used this machine extensively. It comes with its original manual. The Serial Number is: 21055-04306 and the software version is 2.12. Now at VEMIA, and has been thoroughly checked ready for this auction. Several tact switches have been replaced as they were starting to be a bit unreliable. The disk drive saves and loads fine. In future it could always be replaced by an HxC USB emulator but no need now. Packing: 30GBP - separate packing if a courier is used. Otherwise the flightcase should be OK for hand collection or delivery if the MPC is covered with polythene - the foam is starting to go. (25GBP of the packing charge refunded)."

"Here's the new MOD 6 from SoundForce which builds upon their JUNO inspired range added highly customisable, flexible and powerful modulation to a Eurorack modular system. The module is based on an ADSR and LFO but both can be customised for input and output voltage ranges, set to work in different modes with different shapes and curves and both have assignable VCAs to modulate the modulation depths and levels.
It's a super simple menu system that's only ever one level deep, which is a great addition to something so flexible to easily dial in behaviours and even change them on the fly."
MOD 6 is a powerful dual-function Eurorack modulation source. It was designed and developed to compliment the other modules in the juno-themed range of modules: DCO, VCF/VCA 6 and CHORUS 6. It is based on my experiences with the Dual LFO and Dual ADSR modules, with the goal of merging them together into a powerful dual-function next-level module.
Some tech-talk: MOD 6 is using a STM32H743 micro-controller running at 480Mhz. Quite an overkill chip for this application, but the processing power available offers LFO frequencies up to 1khz and high sampling rates on the analog inputs, with CV modulation frequencies of up to 500hz.
The extremely fast processor allows for ultra-snappy ADSR times down to 100us. Another demonstration of the raw power of the chip used is the ability to morph the LFO waveforms using CV. Additionally, thanks to the screen UI, the user can choose the order in which the waveforms will be morphed.

"This bank 2 has been created using a TouchOSC mk2 editor I developed (with LUA Scripts) for Manatee firmware v1.03 thanks to Fred’s provided specifications for the parameters control. It’s using NRPN for Editor -> Synth and SYSEX for Synth -> Editor. I had to reverse engineer the 211 bytes SYSEX dump for 1 Part for this effort.
In v1.03, there are 233 parameters total, including 162 for Part."
This is my favorite patch in that bank [TouchOSC editor pics below]. It illustrates what the Manatee can do like a warm FM full body pad (that you can do on a DX synth) but with an aggressive attack and subtle spectral decay and movement that only the Manatee can do AFAIK.
Lastly I’ve tried to highlight new things in that bank 2 (which I haven’t used in bank 1), most patches use them:
- The Spectrum Editor
- The 1-shot LFOs (firmware v1.03): NDLR this is my favorite feature on the Modal 002 / 002R
Most patches have Velocity and PB configured / used in the demo to showcase the Manatee expressivity; and external FX have been used.
