Soniccouture Releases Tonal Drums: The First Ever Tunable Acoustic Drum Kit VI

Built on the acclaimed Sun Drums engine, Tonal Drums combines all the velocity layers and articulations with unmatched control over tuning, expression and tone.

In recent years, drum tuning has undergone a renaissance. Devices like TuneBot and apps like iDrumTunePro have given drummers more precision and insight when tuning their drums. Youtube is filled with videos relating to drum tuning, and this has helped demystify it. And while it is certainly true that you do not need to tune your drums to notes to fit the key of your track, many people feel that doing this can give an extra musical edge to a production.

Thus, the idea to sample a full drum kit at multiple different tunings was born. Soniccouture Tonal Drums does exactly that - the result a painstaking recording session where each piece of the kit was carefully tuned to a note, sampled in detail with plenty of articulations + velocity layers, then retuned to the next note and the process repeated. Recorded at Rockfield Studios UK.

Its got the amazing patch generator.. you can set it to generate pads, basses, pianos, strings, FX etc and control what parameters are used.

There's also assign slots to control up to 3 parameters at a time with either MIDI CC or aftertouch.

"Vintage ARP 2600 w. 3620 Duophonic keyboard very good condition.

I sell my ARP 2600 with its 3620 duophonic keyboard. I used it in Jean-Michel Jarre's studio when I worked with him, but only in his studio and mine. I'm running out of space to keep it.

Not only is it in excellent external condition, as can be seen from the photos, but it has also been fully tested and is perfectly operational.

All sliders, including those of the keyboard, have been replaced by original new ones, with the original caps (no one missing). The keyboard contacts have been cleaned. The original tolex was left untouched as it is still in good condition.

White pencil setting marks can be seen on the photos. They have since been removed.

The serial numbers of the instrument and keyboard are identical, since both were purchased at the same time.

I'm supplying by separate shipment 24 patch cords, the power cord, the original 2600 and 3620 user manuals, plus a collection of original blank patches.

The nameplate indicates a 110 V power supply, but the instrument was set to 220 V at the time of purchase, in accordance with the instructions in the Service Manual. It has been used this way since the beginning. It's easy to switch back to 110 V if required."
