"I finally got to try a Korg KMX8 from 1983. It has some of the best harmonic distortion I've ever heard. Mixing in red is a delight. The Master EQ on it is awesome. Until now I had always used the Boss BX series but this Korg mixer gives an incredible sound to whatever you put into it.

"How to Produce in 'Every' Genre at the Same Time. Or at least many different genres at once. This can help find the right vibe for the track or add variation in a DAWless live set. I am using the Novation Circuit Groovebox/synth/drum machine, but really any synth and drum machine/sampler combo would work

Basically a genre bending type tutorial without a computer.

"I just received the LIVEN Ambient Ø from Sonicware, and tested it with an improvised track.

The synth separates into 4 distinct tracks: I've sequenced the Drone and Pad layers, and play with the Atmos and Noise. I've deliberately chosen to play with low and medium frequencies to make it a melodic track, but less atmospheric than my usual sounds."
