Deep-Fried Filters | Getting more from your Filter(s).

video upload by Cinematic Laboratory

"For the record, I am not really 'frying' anything. In this video I'd like to show you a few examples of feedback patching and create your own 'VCO' by frying raw voltage.

It's also a good moment to think about 'what could be the best filter for you'. I am using a simple checklist that can help you decide. A great filter can be like an instrument on its own and you should be able to make an album with just a filter. I'd say it should be dual or quad core, it should self-oscillate, it should have analog drive and multiple modes/outputs. Preferrably these modes should be CV controlled. I have my preferences, but please ignore those. If you can't make a choice and you're completely lost, definitely check out a Blades clone, the Doepfer stereo multimode filter, Vostok Atlas and Eowave's Tempete Magnetique quad filter. F*cking rabbit hole..."

kNoB technology INGA Eurorack Module (VCA, 7-stage Wavefolder) review and full demo

video upload by kNoB Technology

"Review and full demo of our new module INGA with examples"

Time sections:
00:00 Intro
00:04 Hello/What is INGA
00:27 Controls overview
01:08 Wavefolding modulation
01:48 SHP modulation (count of stages and shaping)
03:01 Symmetry modulation
04:42 Synthesizing Percussion with a Wavefolder
07:20 Processing different waveforms
09:27 Processing a signal from a drum module
11:31 INGA+AGNI work together
13:43 INGA+ DPLPG (Low pass gate) work together

"INGA is a complex analog device combining a VCA and a 7-stage Wavefolder (based on Serge type). I aimed to bring extensive functionality into a very compact 2HP module, with complete manual and voltage control over all parameters.

Key Features:

- 7 Wavefolder Stages – Provides deep and rich harmonic transformation of the signal

- Folding Control – Precise depth control over the folding effect

- Stage Count Adjustment – Smoothly controls the number of active stages from 3 to 7, with the ability to highlight the fundamental against added harmonics. The SHP parameter can be modified both manually and via CV

- Signal Symmetry – Adjusts the symmetry balance of sound waves, enabling unique textural possibilities. The SYM input can also serve as an additional input for mixing two signals and processing them together with wave folding

- Dual Control – All parameters are adjustable both with knobs and CV, allowing flexible integration into your system

The module is ideal for creating rich, textured sounds, adding multilayered harmonic complexity.

INGA was created as the sister module to AGNI - use them together for total exterminatus!"
