Minimoog & Ableton SOLFA – A Generative MIDI Sequencer for Minimal and Experimental Music
video upload by Akihiko Matsumoto
"SOLFA – A Generative MIDI Sequencer for Minimal and Experimental Music
https://akihikomatsumoto.sellfy.store...
Inspired by Arvo Pärt, Designed for Creative Exploration
SOLFA is a generative MIDI sequencer for Ableton Max for Live, built for electronic music producers, experimental composers, ambient sound designers, and those interested in algorithmic composition. Inspired by the works of Arvo Pärt, this tool allows you to create evolving, hypnotic patterns that seamlessly blend tonal minimalism with rhythmic complexity.
Minimal Pitch, Infinite Possibilities
At the core of SOLFA is a simple seven-note sequence. These notes are randomized across octaves, generating organic melodic shifts. This structured yet fluid approach results in endlessly varying musical textures that maintain a coherent harmonic identity.
Independent Rhythmic Structures
SOLFA employs isorhythmic principles, where the pitch sequence operates independently from the rhythm pattern. This allows for intricate, evolving interactions between melody and rhythm, giving rise to unexpected yet deeply musical results.
Ideal for Generative and Experimental Music
Whether you're composing ambient soundscapes, intricate polyrhythmic pieces, or avant-garde electronic music, SOLFA provides a unique method for crafting evolving compositions with minimal input. By embracing randomness within defined constraints, it encourages exploration while maintaining musical cohesion.
Unlock New Creative Dimensions
Transform simple ideas into dynamic, evolving sequences with SOLFA. Experiment with chance, structure, and unpredictability to discover new musical possibilities. Now available for Max for Live."
“Skyward Jams” a compilation of ambient shorts w/ Elektron Analog Four MKI & MKII
video upload by goth jocks
"Compilation of Elektron Analog Four jams over the past few months. I’d call it psychedelic ambient, but maybe you’d call it something different?
I went from the MKI to the MKII in that timeframe. So while this may not be a direct comparison, it could still be useful to someone deciding between the two (news flash! they sound very similar)
Each song was recorded in one take with no overdubs, no Overbridge, and no external effects. Just pure A4!"
Welcome to the Future

"Original Composition created with an Arturia Microfreak synthesizer and a MPC2500 for the drum track. Eurorack modules providing some visual background.
From my album named Overtone which is available on Bandcamp,
Spotify and other streaming sites.
Thanks for checking this out."
Lite2Sound HD Stereo photodiode field recording - Eugene, OR
video upload by EA78751
"The location is Skinner Butte in Eugene, Oregon, and this video is demonstration of an experimental field recording device called Lite2Sound HD Stereo 62mm. The waveforms in the audio soundtrack are being emitted by the lights in the scene. Lite2Sound uses photodiodes as sensors to convert fluctuations in light intensity directly to audio. The device I used for this video has sensors 200 times larger than our basic model, Lite2Sound PX. That gives it much greater sensitivity, so its possible to hear many lights blending together, even from miles away.
Every city sounds different..? A serious videographer could do awesome things with this. I have built four Lite2Sound HD Stereo devices, and they are available, please inquire. I can be contacted through rarewaves.net.
I noticed in this video there is an invisible infrared light somewhere in downtown Eugene that emits strong pulses at 1-second intervals. It sounds like a ticking clock, but since you can't see any corresponding blinking in the video, it must be infrared. I assume it is providing flash illumination for some sort of slow-frame night surveillance camera. These are more common in urban areas now, who's watching who?
Thanks for watching!

Ample Synthesizer Sequenced by 64-Step Analog Sequencer (AS500-SEQ)
video upload by rezfilter
"Here’s a quick, dawless jam using the Ample Synthesizer and the AS500-SEQ 64-step sequencer. It’s a 3-oscillator patch where two of the oscillators are getting their pitch modulated separately by the sequencer, giving it a nice moving feel. You’ll hear some GLIDE on one of the oscillators at the start — making the notes slide around a bit — and later I dial it back for a tighter sound."
Check with dealers on the right for availability.
Update:
Ample Synth - Dark Industrial Patch with Filter Overdrive | Analogue Solutions
video upload by rezfilter
"Dark industrial patch on the Ample Synth from Analogue Solutions. The bassline steps in an uneven pattern while the cutoff is moved by hand. Pitch shifts come in through the touch pads, patched into the matrix. A second oscillator gets added to the filter, and later the envelope generators tighten up the shape. Nothing polished — just a heavy, gritty sound built straight from the hardware."
Analogue Solutions Ample Synthesizer | Selected Patches
video upload by rezfilter
"Here’s a selection of patches created entirely on the Analogue Solutions Ample synthesizer — no external effects, no added distortion. Just pure Ample.
Ample combines the best elements from several AS products:
-The rich sound engine of Fusebox
-The jack patch points of Concussor Eurorack
-The patch pin matrix of Vostok
-The built-in echo from Dr Strangelove
-The sequencer and CV touch pads from Generator
While it draws from these classics, Ample has a character all its own.
It can be as simple or as deep as you want it to be.
Ample is packed with a wide and diverse range of controls, giving even the most experienced synthesists endless possibilities through both knobs and patch sockets.
At the same time, its familiar layout makes it easy for newcomers to jump in and start creating powerful, musical sounds — especially when paired with this manual and other resources."
