"The Teenage Engineering OP-XY has a unique way of unlocking creativity — even when inspiration runs low. This video is built around an old OP-XY project I recently unearthed, proof that unfinished ideas can still spark something new.
In this live jam, the Teenage Engineering OP-XY becomes the heart of a dark-retro-futuristic soundscape, blending synthwave grooves, ambient arpeggios, and gritty, distorted textures. A raw and expressive performance shaped by the OP-XY’s playful, hands-on approach to electronic music.

"This one is in good cosmetic condition and working 100%. It has just been serviced and needs nothing. As the title says, this is an original Rev 3.3 with 120 programs and factory midi. There is no vintage button on this one! I got this from a gentleman who had it serviced by Wine Country before they went out of business. When I got it, there were still some problems so it has just been serviced again and it's solid now. This is marked as a domestic sale only, but I will ship out of the country. You can send me a message if you're considering to buy it and I will calculate the shipping cost then. Shipping overseas will not be cheap. Please keep this in mind."

This particular unit has been upgraded with a Kenton MIDI kit, giving it modern playability while keeping the original sound path fully intact.
The Kenton MIDI retrofit gives you note on/off control, pitch bend, and sustain over MIDI, allowing you to control this analog beast from any modern DAW or MIDI controller. It still functions just as it always has from the front panel—no limitations there—but with the added flexibility to drop it right into a current production setup.
