Meng Qi's Live Performance at TAM Club VI, Linz, Austria: Every Performance Has No Turning Back
video upload by 合成少数派 Synthesis Minority
"This is a record of my performance at the TAM Club VI event held at Stadtwerkstatt in Linz, Austria, on May 14, 2025. Linz is a city that attaches great importance to electronic art, having hosted the Linz Electronic Arts Festival since 1979. This May performance will also be included in Linz's database. I didn’t want to leave anything subpar behind. During the performance, I used the first prototype of Skies, as well as Mannequins' Just Friends and Silhouette. The sound in the venue was unexpectedly wonderful, so that I couldn't help laughing several times during the performance... I recently received the recording of this performance and would like to share it with everyone."

Franke and Ruby
video upload by davidryle
"I keep returning to the bass line off of Tangerine Dreams 'Rubycon' (1975).
This rendering is more of an exploration of variations of how to control that sequence on the synthesizers.com Q960, a clone of the Moog 960 Sequential Controller. Short but fun and always satisfying.
The oscillators used were the Q169 dual Oscillator, a Q206 and Q206A. The Q169 is in square wave and sync, the Q206 is doubling in a sawtooth wave. The Q206A is a triangle wave directly to the mix in a lower octave.
The filter was the Grove Audio G294A Tribute Series Moog transistor ladder low pass.
I also used a tube drive from the Synthetic Sound Labs/CGS 1530 Tube VCA/Timbral Gate module after the output of the filter.
The envelope generators included a Q109 for the final VCA shape, another Q109 as the filter shape, an STG EG for the tube drive gate shape and another STG EG for the lower bass vco.
The signal was split and sent to the Yusynth panning mixer from Lower West Side Studios and to an Echo Fix tape echo/reverb device. The tape echo was panned using the second row of the Q960 sequencer. That row was also sending a filter modulation voltage. The final output of the mix was sent through an Empress Reverb pedal in red reverb+delay setting.
The final third row of the Q960 sequencer was used in 'Third Row Control Of Timing' mode for the fast burst motion as in the original bass line performance by Tangerine Dream."

Lost in Teenage Engineering OP-XY - Stranger Things' inspired jam
video upload by Lo-fi Pask
"Exploring deep basslines and cinematic textures with the Teenage Engineering OP-XY – a dark synth journey inspired by Stranger Things.
There are moments like this when I feel lost.
Every time, I tell myself that I need to move on, change things up a bit, make a jam with another synth; but the Teenage Engineering OP-XY is a vortex that pulls you in once you find the right sounds, the rest just flows naturally. This happened with the Danger Things sound pack by Metropolis Border, inspired by the dark atmospheres of Stranger Things: as soon as I started listening to it, something clicked, and just dropping in a deep bass was enough to kick everything off.
In the track, I also used some of OP-XY’s default presets, and I realized that with just a touch of sound design, you can bring out some really great things. At the bottom, you’ll find links to all the packs I used.
As usual, the beginning is very ambient, but the track quickly evolves, taking darker and more mysterious turns, until it reaches the rhythmic part, which is definitely more intense than usual. I only prepared the song’s scenes, but I preferred to perform it live. During the performance, I let myself go, especially towards the end, really getting into it: OP-XY’s punch-in effects are as simple to use as they are effective.
Thanks for watching, I hope you enjoy it.

Walking in a Hypnotic Dream (recording studio video production)
video upload by Davide Micheli
"This song tells the story of a journey taken by two people who love each other and say to each other, 'you whisper my way, you whisper my way, you whisper my way, you move my borders.' The two travelers sometimes dream of going to desert and no time places. In these places, the imagination and the soul can free itself from the burdens of everyday life.
The song was also produced with vintage analog synthesizers to give it an 80s funk feel."

"This is a very special keyboard... with individual after touch.
The keys wobble and feel really squashy.... takes a bit of getting used to.
The Osmose by 'Expressive E'... I just had to get one and then of course, learn the piece...!"
