"A piece created with TR-808, Nord Lead, Grandmother, and OP-1 field. Electronica combining TR-808 rhythms with glitched vocals and layered synths.

The TR-808 is MIDI-controlled, with delay applied to the snare using the DD-6. The modified long-decay circuit of the TR-808 is manually adjusted during performance to accent the kick.

The Grandmother is also MIDI-controlled, with the filter cutoff operated manually.

On the OP-1 field, sampled vocals are performed and glitched in real time using the MOOD MKII.

The Nord Lead plays the lead synth, while additional harmony parts are recorded separately and processed with sidechain compression in Ableton Live."

"Two patches with the solo voice section of the Strymon SuperKar+ 32-voice string synthesis module, running through a Strymon Magneto delay module. The background synth pad is from a Moog Mavis. Reverb and additional filters are from Ableton Live. Ableton's clock is stopped and is only being used as a mixer for the session. Both patches are sequenced with a Korg SQ-64."

GS Music leads with its synths in the fight for breast cancer prevention and early detection

After 11 years of dreaming, GS Music finally brings to life a project that speaks to the very heart of its team: supporting breast cancer awareness and early detection. The Argentinian brand — the first to manufacture polyphonic analog synthesizers in Latin America — launches a limited edition of the Pink E7, a synth that doesn’t just resonate sonically but vibrates with purpose.

“67% of our assembly team is made up of women. For us, it’s important that our actions align with the DNA of our team,”

says Elena Epuin, founder of GS Music and the main driving force behind this heartfelt campaign.

Breast cancer is a disease that can affect women at any moment in their lives. That emotional proximity to the cause is what led the team to finally bring an old idea to life — one that had been evolving for years.

A synth with soul (and heart)

“The idea of the pink synths has been in our heads for a long time,” Elena explains.

“For us, it’s vital to keep our synths connected to the human side of things. The E7 doesn’t just have a great sonic soul — it has a human soul too. I believe that’s why our clients stay in touch long after buying their synths.”

The result is a limited run of four Pink E7 units, in a soft baby pink tone with transparent iridescent knobs that perfectly blend tender visual design with raw sonic power. A true analog beast — seven voices of polyphony, multitimbral, with a fully analog signal path — now with a cause beyond the music.

All proceeds from the sale of these four special units will be donated in full to a leading oncological institution in Buenos Aires, reinforcing a campaign that goes far beyond sound.

A Batman, an idea, and a city

As a creative twist, Elena had an unexpected idea: she invited Buenos Aires’ own Batman influencer, with over 60,000 followers on Instagram, to join the campaign.

The result was an iconic and moving encounter that brought together synths, social awareness, and a local superhero who represents strength, visibility, and commitment to real-world causes.

Where Modulation Connects

FAC Polyflo is an AUv3 plugin for modulating and sequencing MIDI instruments and modular gear via control voltage. It outputs MIDI and analog CV simultaneously, making it well-suited for hybrid setups that combine digital and analog equipment.

The plugin includes two LFO generators offering 10 waveforms, including classic shapes and random spline, with support for cross-modulation and syncing. It also features an envelope follower that tracks audio FX input or an external sidechain. The generated signals, together with the host clock and MIDI input, are fed into six independent FLO(W) processors.

These processors combine, shape, and route inputs using math operations, conditional logic, and comparators. Each FLO includes individual polarity, division, and multiplication controls, providing deep and flexible modulation that balances chaotic creativity with precise timing.

Each FLO processor output is connected to its own output bus, enabling easy integration with hardware via DC-coupled audio interfaces like the Expert Sleepers ES-9. For simpler setups, FLO outputs can be routed to the stereo output. FAC Polyflo can also convert MIDI notes, pitch, and control changes into control voltages, making it a powerful MIDI-to-CV solution.

If you prefer to work exclusively with software, the plugin runs smoothly in software-only environments with full MIDI support, making it equally suited for purely digital workflows.

FAC Polyflo works as both an Audio Unit FX and MIDI FX, featuring a clean, touch-optimized interface with precise control and waveform visualization. It’s available as an AUv3 for iOS (iPad/iPhone), macOS, and Vision Pro, and requires a compatible AUv3 host app to run.
