#NAMM 2026: The Pocket SCÍON - Mushrooms making music?

video upload by CatSynth TV

"Tarun Nayar (Modern Biology) gives us a tour of the Pocket SCÍON, a curious device that takes resistance from the surface of living things (like the various mushrooms in the demo) and converts them into audio signals, musical patterns, and external control data via MIDI or OSC.

'The Pocket SCÍON is a little hand held instrument that listens to the tiny electrical signals occuring all around us and turns them into sound. It’s portable, affordable, battery powered and small enough to fit in your pocket. With it’s stand-alone, plug-and-play interface, experienced or adventurous users can use the MIDI and OSC output capabilities to intergrate Pocket SCÍON into their studios, installations, and audio-visual projects.'

Jamuary 23d 2026 - Davos Trumpets

video upload by Captain Credible

"Tiny as they may seem compared to the really big ones, these trumpets can be quite sick when played efter each other in quick succession. Paired with heavy hitting bars from pragmatic lips! #norns #KOii"

Relativity (CHORDS Roland J-6 + H90 + Pill pedals // DRUMS TR-6S // BASS Arturia Minifreak)

video upload by 2-Minute Warning

"In this jam I'm using the sequencers of each of the 3 instruments (unlike the previous video [here] where I played the BASS and CHORDS in real-time 😉) .

The jam starts with the J-6 playing the CHORDS, then me adding effects from the H90 (Delay, then Phaser).
The DRUMS are being introduced gradually.
For the drop, commes the punchy BASSLINE from the Minifreak.
Later on, I enabled the Pill pedal triggered by the drums (TR-6S) which ducks the PADS each time the KICK hits in 🦆"

Recreating a Prince Sermon: LM-1, DX7 & Juno-60 Breakdown

video upload by Nostalgic Explorer

"Today I am exploring an amazing track and how Prince turned this song into a sermon—blending faith, message, and sound. The spiritual meaning behind the music and the production tools that shaped it. And I am recreating this track in my studio using the Yamaha DX7, Juno 60 and Linn LM-1 drum computer."
