Serge ResEQ | No Input Feedback

video upload by Akihiko Matsumoto

"Serge Modular Synth (Sample Pack) https://akihikomatsumoto.sellfy.store...
Created entirely with the unique sonic character of Serge modular systems

About this Pack
Serge Tcherepnin once described his instruments not as tools but as open systems for discovering relationships between sound and control. The Serge Modular Synth is built on this principle. It does not simulate acoustic behavior; it generates its own logic of vibration. Each circuit is an experiment in how voltage can behave as if it were alive.

This sample pack captures that principle through Random Source’s modern Serge system, combining the GTO, GTS, and Res EQ with the reissued 50th Anniversary Paperface. The recordings move fluidly between the precise tension of Eurorack signals and the raw, physical tone of classic 4U banana systems. Every patch was shaped through direct voltage interaction rather than digital post-processing, preserving the unpredictable complexity that defines the Serge approach.

Why Serge Matters
Serge Modular was designed in the 1970s by Serge Tcherepnin. It was created as an open-ended tool for sonic experimentation. Influenced by cybernetics and avant-garde composition, this system rejects musical hierarchies and embraces uncertainty.
In Serge, control voltages and audio signals are treated as equals. The circuits invite exploration through feedback, cross-modulation, and unpredictable interactions. Every patch is a process of discovery rather than reproduction.
This makes Serge a powerful choice for artists seeking sounds that are not pre-shaped or confined by rules. The textures you will find in this pack are unstable, alive, and deeply human.

Inside the Pack
The collection includes loops, one-shots, and drones. It extends from tonal minimalism to complex, evolving noise structures. You will find FM and AM modulations, unstable oscillations, and dark ambient layers that drift beyond equal temperament. There are moments of feedback that verge on collapse, SSG circuits running into chaotic self-modulation, and subtle rhythmic patterns that carry the unmistakable texture of analog uncertainty.
Each sound maintains the distinctive grain of Serge synthesis: harmonic richness without symmetry, motion that arises from interaction rather than programming. This is material for artists who value the tactile quality of electricity, who hear circuits as compositional partners rather than instruments.

Who This Pack Is For
Ideal for producers working in experimental electronic music, sound design, ambient, noise, or techno.
This pack suits those who are not satisfied with polished libraries and are looking for materials that add edge, texture, and risk to their work.

Continuous Evolution
This library is a growing archive. New sounds are added through regular updates at no additional cost for existing users. If you already own the pack, simply log in to your Sellfy account and new files will appear automatically. For those new to the collection, this is an invitation to enter a sonic environment that is never fixed but always evolving.

Not Just a Sample Pack
Some of the included tracks were originally composed as complete works. These can be experienced as finished drone pieces or used as inspiring source material. The lines between sample and sound art are intentionally blurred."

Syntakt 1.40 – 7 Power-Ups That Completely Redefine It

video upload by Sineway

"Syntakt firmware 1.40 just dropped - and yes, it plays samples now. But that's not the real story.

After spending serious time with this firmware, I found 7 power-ups that completely change what this machine is capable of. We're talking new oscillator colors, evolving morph engines, harmonic stacking with real instrument samples, character layering that captures the soul of your synths, track linking with analog filter routing, stereo filter panning, and performance upgrades that make jamming more intuitive than ever.

This isn't about drum one-shots. This is about what sampling unlocks for sound design, harmony, and musicality on a machine that already had serious creative depth.

All sounds in this video come from my own sample library recorded from my synthesizers — including the Novation Peak, Sequential Fourm, and Arturia AstroLab 37. The full sample pack and project files are available on my Patreon.

Chapters:
0:00 Intro
0:21 The new machine: SP Twin Shot

New Uses for Old Circuits 02: Sources Of Inversion

video upload by La Synthèse Humaine

New Uses for Old Circuits Series

"New Uses for Old Circuits is a series looking at linear and nonlinear processes in the modular system.

In this video we go through every module in the Serge synthesizer to discover which circuits create an inversion at the output. As a result, we create perhaps the most boring synthesizer video on YouTube, but we also lay some important groundwork for the future - creating a conceptual map of the Serge that will be very helpful in feedback patching.

Apologies about the periodic focusing issues - I'm still working on it :)"

Modular dream /Art of analog sequencing: 9VCOs, 4LFOs, 4Noises, 4Filters #modularsynth #analogsynth

video upload by KurtzMindfields

"I present to you a demo of synthesizers made by French luthiers, for whom I develop and explore musical possibilities. Whether they are Moog clones or modern analog instruments, the idea is to rediscover the possibilities of the old modular synthesizers, the sound, and the pleasure.
The Ancestor Moog NRsynth is extremely sensitive and features the original VCOs (3), filters (1 Moog + 1 Steiner Parker), VCAs, and mixers. It also has 2 LFOs + 1 noise generator.
The SynthR 4 is a semi-modular multi-tasker, equipped here with a Moog Ladder filter and the famous 4012 ARP (Moog clone). 3 LFOs + 2 noises... it also has 4 VCOs and 2 SUB VCOs.
The whole thing is controlled in real time through the powerful SynthR4 sequencing software.

synth_nyc Introduces Surface32 – Bidirectional Synthesizer Editing Control Surface Solution

via synth_nyc

"Surface32 is a groundbreaking, multitimbral control surface ecosystem that completely removes the friction between tactile hardware sound design and modern digital workflows. By seamlessly fusing a premium physical controller with a suite of synchronized software clients, Surface32 brings total bidirectional editing to the electronic musician's studio.

Surface32 is the system's brain. Featuring 36 continuous rotary encoders paired with 36 dedicated OLED screens, it holds up to 16 complete hardware synthesizer parameter sets (Instrument Definitions) in its memory at any given time. It bidirectionally updates your synthesizers and your software clients screens instantly, allowing you to work exactly how you want.

Surface32 operates on a dual-tier communication network. It talks to your hardware synthesizers using pure MIDI CC, NRPN, or SYSEX, while simultaneously communicating with the software clients using high-speed NRPN and SYSEX. If you turn a knob on the hardware, the software fader moves. If you move a software fader, the hardware OLED updates. All with zero feedback loops.

You can find the full technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and the different DAW/DAW-less workflows on synth_nyc here.

Introducing Liminal Sound Devices (っ'-') Burg

video upload by electro sportive magnitude

via https://markusr.de/burg.html

"Burg is a great way to start with modular synthesis and plugging in patchcables ;) It provides you with all necessary tools to start your modular journey now. It is a standalone synth voice, complex multi FX processor, controller for external gear or all at once. The perfect companion to any setup, if you already have modular stuff, wanna connect with instruments or other gear. It can work for many different musical approaches and creative processes, it bridges between the analog modular world and external gear. The unique combination of circuits let you customize your desired sound in all analogue ways.

18 individual and characterful modules allow you to explore beautiful and weird interactions. You can easily create dynamic melodies, harmonic drones, weird noises and outer space sound effects. If you plug-in an instrument, a microphone, your favorite tunes or the internal sounds, it is easy to modulate any signal with a crispy filter (wasp-style), a wavefolder, some heavy distortion and a double delay to glitch your mind away. With 55 patching points in total, possible combinations are almost endless. The intuitive touchpad interface gives easy control over multiple CV and gate signals at the same time and is the main modulation source of the Burg system.

Two light dependent controllers guarantee a unique behavior and can be modified easily according to your needs or for experiments. Also other modules can be modified by exchanging components on the back plate, so customizing the frequency range of the oscillators/LFOs or shaping your individual clipping distortion with different types of diodes is possible.

There are two power bus connectors on the backplate so Burg can be used as a power supply for other eurorack modules as well. The internal power supply can be powered with USB-C (barrel jack) from 9V to 18V (center positive) and can work as a power supply for small modular racks using a flying bus cable."
