MIDI Goblin 1.5 and Polyphonic Synth Announcement

video upload by MIDI GOBLIN

"Hi everyone. In this video...I announce MIDI Goblin 1.5!

It's MIDI Goblin - but with audio output and a polyphonic synthesizer firmware I've been working on for the past few months called Pingler.

Owners of the original MIDI Goblin will be pleased to hear that they can upgrade their Goblin to 1.5 at home!

pre-sales for MIDI Goblin 1.5 will begin April 30th 2025 and a VERY limited number of them will be available if our neighbors to the south go through with their tariff 'plans'

visit https://www.midigoblin.com to join the mailing list."

Maximus 4V Polyphonic Analogue Synthesizer | Live Multi-Part Synth Jam

video upload by Analogue Solutions

"Here's a live, one-take recording using the Maximus 4V polyphonic analogue synthesizer from Analogue Solutions (‪@rezfilter‬ )

All synth parts are coming straight from the Maximus 4V — no external synths, no edits, no overdubs.

Percussion sounds are handled by a 2600 bass drum and vintage Concussor drum modules, original designs from Analogue Solutions.

This high-tempo synthpop/electro track is built entirely from hardware and captured live in the moment. Maximus 4V is an inspiration!"

Check with dealers on the right on availability.

Sequential Prophet 10 REV4 versus Prophet VS Vector Synth: A not-so-detailed comparison and thoughts

video upload by MIDERA

"I had both of these side by side and figured it was now or never - do a brief comparison of the two head to head. What's interesting is listening to the Prophet VS filter afterwards it didn't sound so 'TB-303' like as it did when I recorded it. It sounded more tame. It was a bit depressing, but I guess that's part of what is important to hear - differences between what's recorded and what's heard live.

A few notes: if you listen on a phone, you really won’t hear ANY differences mention, lol. I don’t hear the aliasing on the PVS.

You can initialize the PVS patch as well holding enter and pressing zero. I didn’t do that here because it puts all 4 oscillators on using different waveforms, which isn’t really initialized for my purposes.

Also - I want to comment about something that annoys me. If I ever want to look up anything on the "Prophet VS" it comes up as thinking it means 'versus' so I hardly find any information about the VS.

What do you think about the two (P10 v PVS)?

Minimal Electronic w/ Prophet-10, Piano | Smokey Hill 2025-04-26 by atnr

video upload by atnr

"A piece created with the ‪@SequentialLLC‬ Prophet-10 and piano—minimal, immersive ambient music built from sustained synth tones and a looping piano motif.

Prophet-10: Uses a patch with long attack and release, processed with reverb via blueSky.

Piano (YAMAHA CP-88): Layered with versions processed through ‪@HologramElectronics‬ MICROCOSM, ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ GENERATION LOSS MK II, and ‪@strymon‬ NIGHTSKY."

High energy modular synth performance by Stephen McCaul

video upload by Noise Engineering

"Here's a high energy modular synth performance by Chief Noisemaker Stephen McCaul.

The bottom case is a six voice case with Incus Iteritas Alia (2), Debel Iteritas Alia, Tymp Legio, Manis Iteritas Alia, Virt Iter Legio + Ampla Legio.

There is a Librae Legio for the percussion submix (paralleling the main mix) and an Electus Versio on a send. The rhythm sequencing is from an experimental prototype that isn't really product worthy.

Pitch sequencing comes from Opp Ned. And the Xer Mixa mixer ties it all together.

The top case is an effects rig for another project but i used a Fala Versio and a Yester Versio in that case for some additional effects."
