Turning a Soma Pulsar 23 drone in a MEGADRONE using the Ableton Move

video upload by Abre Ojos

"Turning a Pulsar 23 drone into a MEGADRONE!
This set up just keeps bringing the inspiration. Come on a synth journey to add spacial widening to a Pulsar drone and adding layers on layers of layers using the slicing function on the Move.

I mention the ‪@RiemannKollektion‬ for the kick sample https://riemannkollektion.com/ check them out! (not sponsored, no affiliation just a big fan!)

‪@Ableton‬ Move &‪@somasynths‬ Pulsar 23 thru ‪@Endorphines‬ Ghost pedal

Move is sequencing the Bass channel + vocal samples from the Move too."

Moog DFAM+Labyrinth 50 Combo Patches + Samples. Sound Demo

video upload by Anton Anru

"🥁 'Modular Impulse' is a collection of 50 combo patches for the semi-modular analog synthesizers Moog DFAM and Labyrinth.
The soundset focuses on rhythmic and dynamic sound design, as both synthesizers are naturally oriented toward punchy, percussive tones.
🧿 The collection includes basses, plucks, bleeps, drums, leads, and FXs.
There is a wide range of sound colors inside the pack: massive and gentle, aggressive and soft, bright and dull, melodic and inharmonic tones, as well as straight and polymetric patterns.

📦 The patches are available here: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/dfam...

🎛 The main idea behind the soundset is a high level of interconnection, rather than simply syncing the synths with independent timbres (individual patch collections for DFAM and Labyrinth are also available on my website).
In this patchbook, the timbres of the synths are tightly intertwined and cannot exist separately:

Tubbutec MC-2oh2 sample player on channel 3 #tubbutec #mc2oh2

video upload by analogia pl

"One thing that’s not discussed enough - or is even criminally underrated - is the third channel in the Tubbutec MC-2oh2. On paper, it’s just a simple sample player, coming with a factory-loaded set of TR-606-like drum sounds that are still fun and effective to jam along to.

With the MC-202 Hack software (but also possible via SysEx), it’s a breeze to upload your own samples -or rather, sound snippets.

That’s precisely what I’m doing here. I took pre-recorded snippets of vocoder-processed sounds and uploaded them into the 2oh2. It’s already fun just to play them, but here comes another smart function of the 2oh2: midifiers. Each sample can be filtered, slowed down, reversed, and/or accented. It’s an endless source of experimentation and inspiration."

Nice EMS Vocoder 1000 in back.

Dronage Terminal: Basics Tutorial

video upload by Bruce Menace

(Teaser) Taneler v0.1.0 - An ambient loop workstation in your terminal

video upload by Bruce Menace

via https://boorch.itch.io/dronage-terminal

A drone workstation for the terminal, featuring 4x famously open sourced macro oscillator synth module whose name must not be spoken, extensive modulation capabilities, and custom tailored effects including a granular delay.

The screenshots demonstrate how the tool looks like when it's launched through Rio Terminal, an amazing terminal emulator that supports RetroArch shaders. For clarity, Rio Terminal is NOT a requirement.

I highly recommend downloading a Nerd Font (like JetBrains Mono Nerd) and using it on your preferred terminal emulator to make sure all special characters used in the UI id splayed as expected though.

There's a README.md file included in the downloads. It's in Markdown format. It's human-readable with any text editor, but I strongly suggest using an app that supports Markdown format to view it with better formatting. Worst case scenario, you can paste it into a Markdown viewer website like this to read it properly.

Turing Machine, Workshop System & Planet of the Apes! // Music Thing Modular at Machina Bristronica

video upload by DivKid

"It's a pleasure to look back at the last Machina Bristronica event (2025) and share this video with Tom Whitwell of Music Thing Modular from the DivKid Discussions stage. We talk about origins, Thonk acting like a record label, Turing Machines, Radio Music and the Workshop System which has inspired and built community and created collaborations, before rounding out on some unexpected connections to Planet of the Apes!

Machina Bristronica is taking a year off for 2026, but will be back in 2027. Check out videos from the DivKid Discussions stage, Machina news and updates and all about Music Thing Modular at the links.

New Uses for Old Circuits 04: Studies in Linear and Nonlinear Systems

video upload by La Synthèse Humaine

New Uses for Old Circuits

"New Uses for Old Circuits is a series looking at linear and nonlinear processes in the modular system.

In this video we get right to the heart of the matter and discover what defines a linear system (and therefore what defines a nonlinear system). Linear systems are systems that obey the laws of homogeneity and superposition, whereas nonlinear systems are ones that break these laws."

New Uses for Old Circuits 03: Sources Of Inversion

video upload by La Synthèse Humaine

New Uses for Old Circuits

"New Uses for Old Circuits is a series looking at linear and nonlinear processes in the modular system.

In this video we go through every module in the Serge synthesizer to discover which circuits create an inversion at the output. As a result, we create perhaps the most boring synthesizer video on YouTube, but we also lay some important groundwork for the future - creating a conceptual map of the Serge that will be very helpful in feedback patching.

Apologies about the periodic focusing issues - I'm still working on it :)"
