"Here's some more live random studio chaos. It's more analogue sequencer jamming, where all synths and sequencers are being fed high octane CV.

Nothing is mixed in a DAW or processed, but is simply recorded via a summing mixer.

Scattered Analogue Solutions' Impulse Command, Vostok 2020, Fusebox, Nyborgs 12 and 24, and another Telemark snare this time around...

Generator and Oberkorns are running the sequencing duties per usual."

"I've rack-mounted the Analogue Solutions Fusebox and have stuck to the same look 'n feel as the Generator (black,red, orange) with the orange side rails. Looks n sounds great!

Here's a little video with it, and the Nyborgs to show folks who may not have known that it's rackable.

Check out the Patternator in action as it's quite easy to generate quick rhythms and patterns on the fly.

Analogue Solutions Impulse Command and Fusebox synced via DAW

"More Impulse Command and Fusebox!

Here's a quick little jam featuring sounds from these synths only being played live.

Logic is sending MIDI clock start/stop to the Digitakt drum machine, which is then sending clock to the Impulse Command synth.

The Generator Step Sequencer is also receiving noted clock from the DAW (great way to sync) and is being played live via the touch pads. This modulates the pitch of the Impulse Command as well as the filter.

The Fusebox is being played live via the keyboard but is clocked (Patternator) via the DAW.

No external effects were used on either synth (Impulse Command FX can be heard when they are activated).

Recognize the tune? I cut it short as you can get lost in the fun ;)

"This may or may not be tuneful, but it was a sunny day in Northern Ireland I had a few beverages and played about in the Shed with the new toys and came up with this. I'll give it a more detailed examination when I'm thinking straighter :)

And for those wondering, no, there is no relation to this site. Matrixsynth in this case stand for the matrix modulation patch bay. The site got it's name from my alias, matrix, and the Oberheim Matrix-6, my first synth. I registered the matrixsynth.com domain name back in 1997, long before the Vostok Matrixsynth.

Matrix Patch Panel

External Patching

Matrix panels alone do not allow interfacing with external synthesizers & signals, so the Vostok also provides a full complement of front panel jack socket patch points for additional internal & external patching & interfacing.
