Arturia MiniFreak Demo (No talking)

video upload by Hunart©

"Hy Everyone!

I've finally had a chance to spend some time with the "new" MiniFreak. Honestly, I really like that one. As usual, no external effects, just a limiter and a bit off low cut (It can get ugly sometimes XD) on the whole material. Everything was recorded track by track to Ableton. All sounds are from the MiniFreak.

Feel free to ask any questions!

Enjoy,
Hunart"

Just a few short custom patterns trying to capture some less "mainstream" sounds of this little machine. This one will be with me longer, as I want to go a bit deeper in to the possibilities.

01:01
01:42
02:31
03:20
04:06

Teenage Engineering OP-1 field demo (no talking)

video upload by Hunart©

"Hi Everyone!

Recently I've finally could play with the newer version of the old beloved OP-1. This is just a quick soundcheck, recorded track by track in to Ableton, I've used very little EQ (cosmetics) and a limiter on the whole material. It is awesome for its size, I hope I can afford one in the future, as there's much more inside that you can see in the specs.

Enjoy and feel free to ask any questions!

Dreadbox Typhon Demo

video upload by Hunart©

"Hi Everyone!

Thanks to my friend Sensor (you can find the link below the description) I've had a chance to finally try out Typhon from Dreadbox. It was a two day session and one day my daughter wanted to smash the cutoff knob, so this is her favorite synth now... And I think mine too in that price range. Really cute messy box ;) As usual, no external FX, EQ or compression, just a limiter (D16 Frontier) on the whole material."

Sequential Take 5 demo

video upload by Hunart©

"Thanks to my friend Sensor I've had a chance to play the Take 5 synth by Sequential for a few hours. Not much, but very inspiring. As usual, no external FX, EQ or compression, just a limiter (D16 Frontier) on the whole material. "

Sequential Prophet-10 Demo

video upload by Hunart©

"Thanks to my friend Sensor (you can find the link below the description) I've had a chance to play the mighty Prophet 10 by Sequential. As usual, no external FX, EQ or compression, just a limiter (D16 Frontier) on the whole material. I'm mainly playing sequences, tried to pull out some different sounds from bass, brasses and leads."

Sequential Prophet X Demo

video upload by Hunart©

"Finally I`ve got my hands on a Prophet X. Honestly, this is one of the best sounding synths out there, and I`m glad I could try one out.
I`ve made 4 mini tracks in a short time, and tried to capture a bit different purpose of the synth, hoping that I can show the basic capabilities of the synth too.

There`s no EQ, compression and external FX, just some limiting on the whole material. Feel free to ask any questions."

Roland JUNO-60 vs Arturia JUN-6V comparison (no talking)

video upload by Hunart©

"Just a few basic sounds to compare the JUN-6V with a JUNO-60 (unfortunately I couldn`t manage to get a JUNO-6), without any FX, EQ or compression. I tried to get as close as possible but its not an easy task to get the same setting with almost 40 years old faders. Anyway, I think it`s really close and Arturia made a very good job."

Waldorf M demo

video upload by Hunart©

"Hi Everyone!

Thanks to the polish distributor of Waldorf I could do a quick soundcheck of the Waldorf M synthesizer via mainly modified and own patches. Pretty little wavetable thing... I've used a little EQ (for the really low end) and a limiter on the whole material, beside of that no further EQ or external FX were used. Every sound comes from the Waldorf M and was recorded track by track in to Ableton."

Waldorf Kyra Demo

video upload by Hunart©

"A quick soundcheck of the Kyra from Waldorf, again, thanks to Audiotech. Every sound comes from the Kyra and was recorded in to Ableton Live. As usual there`s no compression, EQ or External FX. Just a limiter on the whole material."

Waldorf Iridium Demo

video upload by Hunart©

"Again, thanks to the polish distributor Audiotech I`ve had a chance to try out Iridium from Waldorf. Every sound comes from the Iridium and there`s no EQ, compression or external FX, just a limiter on the whole material."

Waldorf Quantum Demo

video upload by Hunart©

"Thanks to the polish distributor Audiotech I could spend some time with this synth. Really nice things packed inside. As usual no EQ, compression or external FX."

Novation Summit demo

Published on Jan 20, 2020 Hunart©

"Hi everyone!

I`ve got a chance to (finally) try out the Novation Summit. Altough one day is not enough to explore all the possibilities I tried to record as much as I can. All sounds are from Summit, very little EQ (for "cosmetics"), no compression and no external FX.

Feel free to ask any questions!

Enjoy,

"MicroFreak receives new oscillator and more in 2.0 firmware update

On top of announcing KeyLab Essential 88 and KeyStep Pro at NAMM 2020, French audio pioneers Arturia have also revealed a surprise update to their incredibly popular MicroFreak digital synth.

The MicroFreak 2.0 update adds several exciting new features and functions, refines some existing ones, and fixes a few minor bugs.

New Features
New Noise oscillator: morph between particle noise, white noise, and a metallic noise that’s reminiscent of a synth cymbal. An exciting new voice that will open up powerful new drum and percussion possibilities in MicroFreak.

Chord Mode: by holding the Paraphony button and playing some notes, you program the chord, then replay the shape with a single key.

Scale quantization: In the Utility settings, you can activate scale quantization to your favorite scale. When activated, the “white notes” on the keyboard play whichever scale you have selected. No more wrong notes!

Sequencer streamlining: in 2.0 firmware update, you’re now able to easily copy Pattern A to Pattern B in an instant.

Matrix initialize: before 2.0 firmware update, if you wanted to clear the Matrix of all routings, you’d have to manually do it. Now you can just hold the Shift and perform a long press on the encoder, and it will clear!
64 New Presets: Loads of exciting sounds to explore using the new oscillator and features.

Improvements
MicroFreak now displays visual feedback even when Local Control is off.
The synth’s Local Control now also translates USB to MIDI Out.
The release of currently playing presets are now cleared when switching to a new one.
The Record LED now blinks on each beat, instead of on 16ths.

Thanks to MicroFreak’s digital mind, the team at Arturia will be able to offer more exciting updates and improvements like this over time, ensuring that MicroFreak is always fresh and relevant.

To update your synth, simply connect it to your computer, load up the Arturia MIDI Control Center, and hit the 'update' button for MicroFreak."

Roland System-8 - Lost patches

Published on Dec 22, 2019 Hunart©

"Hi everyone!

I`ve found a video presenting around 20 custom patches (and some performances using them) made by me something like 2 years ago. Feels like the System-8 is still a good player in the synth game.
No EQ, compression or external FX.

Enjoy!
