Rebel Technology Chronos mk II Demo

Published on Jul 28, 2017 Rebel Technology

"The Chronos mk II is a dual tap-tempo clock with dual tempo synced LFO. Let Cherif talk you through some of its functionalities."

via Rebel Technology

"Χρόνος is an advanced time-keeping module with dual tap tempo clock, and dual tempo synced LFO. The first function is tap tempo: tap the push button to generate a clock, and adjust the tempo with the knob. The second function is two tempo-synced, low frequency oscillators, each with two waveforms. One LFO provides bipolar sine or triangle wave, the other ramp or sawtooth. Two toggles let you switch between waveforms and one-shot mode.

The two functions can be linked or used independently. By default the LFO is synced to the tap tempo, but an external trigger can be used instead. In one-shot mode it works like an envelope, and the trigger input starts one full period of the LFO.

Χρόνος is Greek for Time, transliterated to English as Chronos.

Price £125.00"

Published on Nov 3, 2017 sonicstate

"Another video from our visit to We Are Robots - future music technology conference in Lond om- we talked to Martin from Rebel Technology - they make a variety of Eurorack modules that allow you to run custom PureData and GEM code patches in hardware form. We saw the OWL module and also a new standalone instrument called Wizard - soon to be launched on Kickstarter.

Befaco AC/DC, interfaz de audio Eurorack

video upload by Hispasonic

Googlish:

"Befaco was once again present at the Berlin Superbooth, this time with a much less analog proposal than usual: AC/DC, a continuously coupled audio interface in Eurorack format.

AC/DC is based on Rebel Technology's OWL platform, and this is probably its biggest draw. It allows you to send and receive both CV and 16-bit/48KHz audio, as well as load patches from the Rebel library. It is compatible with most popular DAWs and CV generators, and also serves as an audio/CV processor for iOS apps."

Rebel Technology - Mix 02 & Mix 03 (killer new mix series with Mix 01-04)

Published on Nov 27, 2017 DivKidVideo

"I'm highly impressed with the Rebel Technology mix series and having the Mix 02 and Mix 03 (pssst I'll be giving this away in the not too distant future watch my channel for updates) here has got me really curious about the Mix 01 (matrix mixer) and Mix 04 (16 VCAs in a matrix). It's high quality, clean, bleed free mixing in a great layout and I love the idea of an expandable mixer that you can grow with your system."

Superbooth 22: Befaco ACDC USB 4x4 Audio Interface

video upload by sonicstate

"Pretty simple this new module from Befaco - the ACDC USB module adds 4 in 4 out:

Befaco's AC/DC is a class compliant USB audio interface module connecting your modular system to your favorite DAW or audio software. DC-coupled for CV and audio transfer, the AC/DC inputs and outputs four channels of hi-fidelity signals sporting up to 16-bit and 48kHz based upon Rebel Technology's hardware platform. With an expansion to go beyond its base functionality thanks to the Rebel Technology's OWL platform compatibility, the AC/DC brings quality interfacing with any computer to your modular system."

Rebel Technology - 'Phoreo' sequence.

Published on May 27, 2016 PaulLawlerMusic

"Testing the Phoreo on a straight 16ths sequence. The Phoreo is randomly adding the ratchets and clock division changes to the sequence via LFOs on the CV inputs."

I believe this is the first post to feature the Phoreo. Some details via Rebel Technology:

Φορέω is a triple function processor for triggers, gates and clocks. It simultaneously performs pulse width modulation, multiplication and repetition, with individual input, output and CV for each function.

Pulse width modulation, as a ratio of the input signal rate, is adjustable from 0 to 100 percent.
Multiplication also operates on the input signal rate, multiplying it by a factor from 1 to 16.
Repetition generates a burst of triggers, at the rate of the multiplier, with repetitions adjustable from 1 to 16.
Each function has two knobs for manual and CV level, and three jacks for trigger input, CV input and trigger output.

Pulse width modulation carries through to the outputs of the two other functions, and the three trigger inputs are normalled from top to bottom.

When multiply and repeat are combined, Φορέω makes an excellent burst generator, perfect for rolls, flams and fills. The repeater gives precise control over burst length, while the multiplier easily moves from quarter notes, to thirds, to eights, to everything in between and lots more beyond. Go on, give us a snare rush!

Φορέω is also extremely versatile with many utility functions, such as master clock doubling, clock modulation, and for triggering and clocking fast sequences. It even works as a square wave overtone generator with PWM, tracking audio input signals up to 20kHz.

Φορέω perfectly complements Στοιχεῖα, Λόγοι, Κλάσματα and Χρόνος, completing our Euclidean series of trigger processors.

Rebel Technology OpenSoundModule

Published on Nov 9, 2015 Rebel Technology

"Using the OpenSoundModule with TouchOSC and Lemur.
The OpenSoundModule is a WiFi OSC to CV /Gate interface for Eurorack modular synthesizers.
See http://www.rebeltech.org/products/ope... for details."

"The Open Sound Module is a WiFi connectivity module. It sets up a wireless network connection directly with your modular synthesizer. The OSM has two CV inputs and two CV outputs, along with two trigger inputs and outputs, for bi-directional wireless communication.

Use the OSM to connect your modular synthesizer to your mobile phone, tablet, laptop, local network or the mighty internet. Use two OSMs to connect together two racks, whether they are in the same room, or even the same continent. Use many to make the biggest modular synthesizer in the world!

The OSM communicates using the OSC protocol. It can connect to your local WiFi network or set up its own access point. The Open Sound Module embeds a small web server, enabling you to control and configure the device with a browser."

Rebel Technology Euclidean Sequencer - New Eurorack Manufacturer

via Rebel Technology

"Στοιχεῖα is a dual Euclidean Sequencer. It algorithmically generates rhythmic sequences from an input trigger signal.

The name (Στοιχεῖα, Stoicheia, or Elements) comes from the title of Euclid’s book Elements in which the algorithm was first described."
