If you’ve ever played one, you know these synths are beasts, and the sound is just massive. I’ve used this on so many records, it’s time to switch things up, but if you’re after that iconic Moog tone, this thing delivers.
It’s got the MIDI kit installed, making it a breeze to hook into modern setups. The original fan? Crazy noisy, so I replaced it with a quieter modern one—now you get all the analog magic without the extra hum. It’s been serviced every six months for regular check-ups, and back in 2018, it underwent a full restoration by Rosen Sound in LA, so it’s been well taken care of.
And yeah, all six oscillators are tuned—no small feat with these machines. If you know Memorymoogs, you know the oscillators are notorious for drifting out of tune, but I’ve kept them locked in and serviced. "This is a professionally fully restored Oberheim Two Voice. It's in physically excellent condition for its age. The original tolex is in amazing shape with only a couple little tears in the lid. The keys are perfectly pristine white, no fading at all. You can tell this spend the majority of its life with the lid on judging by how nice the key whites are. Every module was professionally restored by Synth Tailor a little over a year ago, the Sequencer was restored by Rosen Sound and Synth Tailor. Restoration documentation will be provided to the new owner. Definitely not the cheapest TVS you can find but if you buy one that is not restored you are looking at 2-4k in labor to get it back to a reliable state and a very long wait time for it to be completed."
"Here is a restored Jupiter 8, all the power supply capacitors have been replaced as well as the transformer with one manufactured by ROSEN SOUND. The CPU circuit has been replaced with a model manufactured by SYNTHWORKS and the control switch for the LFO/Modulation knob has also been replaced. The controls are in good condition and operate smoothly, and the dust covers have been replaced. There is a modification on the back that I personally never use, but from what I can see it is connected with each of the controller boards to the VCO LFO MOD section and the VCA MOD section. I have seen other JP8s with the same modification in the past but I never asked what it was for exactly. Of course for a 40 year old synthesizer there is some cosmetic wear, but it is possible to replace the side panels with new ones and the heat sink as well. The front panel was damaged at the hatch and rear, but can be dented quite easily and repainted."

"Power section and chorus board fully recapped, brand new battery, factory presets loaded, faders and keybed cleaned. Tape Verify button was non-functioning, replaced with an OEM switch from Rosen Sound.
Overall the unit is in great shape with only one minor blemish on the sideboard. Chorus is clean and strong, no white noise. Preset bank 1 button sometimes needs a bit of a hard push but every other button is working great. Missing the dust covers on a couple switches, as well as a couple exterior screws. Comes with an anvil hard case."

The CS-40m is a duophonic (2-voice) analog synthesizer that was introduced in 1979. Although Yamaha had already conquered polyphony with their legendary 8-voice CS-80, the CS-40m offered a more affordable approach to something other than a mono-synth. It has a semi-compact 44 note (3 1/2 octave) keyboard, 36 knobs, 12 sliders and over a dozen buttons for easy hands-on performance and editing. There are also 20 patches of memory which can be off-loaded to cassette tape."
