Bifurcate
video upload by UncertainMusicCorps
"Continuing to explore the Wingie Blippoo firmware, this time trying to find a slightly more restrained way of working and allowing something to develop over a bit more time.
Paired with a BC9 on the line input for extra unpredictability. And sending it all out via a QuBit Aurora (standard firmware) for atmospherics.
I am loving the soundscapes this thing creates. Really regret not picking up an original Blippoo when I had the chance years ago."

Unwatched - NT2m for iOS. Generative polyphonic modular
Published on Apr 18, 2013 UncertainMusicCorps·43 videos
"Noatikl2 for iOS beta testing using Vermona qMI quad midi to CV module for true, 4 part polyphony.
Audio sources are MFB triple oscillator and SynthTech E350/Doepfer A137. MakeNoise QMMG and Intellijel Quadra provide the backend for the 4 voices.
The complete arrangement is generated in realtime by Noatikl running on an iPhone.
Recorded live and unedited direct to disc."

Koma SVF-201 demo
Published on Dec 22, 2012 by UncertainMusicCorps
"Dry demo of the Koma SVF fiter using a fixed frequency saw wave input. Best in fullscreen mode if you want to see the scope. Top waveform is pre filter input. Bottom waveform is post filter wave.
Best watched at highest resolution, full screen and with good phones or speakers"

BC9 lowlight drone #2
Published on Dec 27, 2013 UncertainMusicCorps·51 videos
"I was trying to rein things in a bit on the BC9 (+ Pitchfactor) while experimenting with a new camera workflow when things started to sound a bit interesting. This one really does need headphones or good monitors if you want to hear the range this little thing can deliver up."

"Distings and Marbles generate a thing.
Disting Mk4(a) is the clock master Disting Mk4(b) creates Euclidean pulses.
DistingEX delivers the tabla samples. Plaits and Marbles combine to generate the lead. The SWN layers some shifting drone. And the Ensemble Oscillator delivers a mighty bass pulse (which you won't hear in any detail unless you use decent headphones or speakers)
It wasn't until later that I realised there are no filters used on this track. Can't say I missed them much."

Lost Radiophonics
video upload by UncertainMusicCorps
"I was given the opportunity to sample audio from a very early example of a domestic radio receiver, built in around 1925, probably designed receive some of the earliest broadcasts by the BBC.
The recordings were made using both a contact mic on the radio headset and Soma Labs Ether 'anti-radio' (which felt kind of poetic).
I curated the recordings into usable samples, converted to SF2 format and imported into Wotja to generate the soundtrack to this short video.
Huge thanks to Lostwithel Museum for indulging me despite their bewilderment.

"First melodic runout for the 4ms Ensemble Oscillator which is providing an ebb and flow texture, following a grainy lead voice from Plaits. 4ms SWN provides the backdrop. Wotja 20 from http://www.intermorphic.com drives via Shuttle Control"

"Like many other people, I'm using lock-in time to explore things I've overlooked before. In my case, its Patterning 2. I don't know why I've passed it by until now but I feel a bit stupid about that because its wonderful. Particularly when paired with the Nord Drum 2
Here, as well as providing a really nice shifting pulse, its clocking everything else in the rack. The Nord Drum pattern is being dirtied up by a Plague Bearer (topical). There's also a Drone Commander and QMMG providing bass pulses and an E 350 giving a clocked top line. Plus some joystick driven interruptions just because."

Mixtikl tutorial - Introducing deep editing
YouTube Uploaded by UncertainMusicCorps on Jul 13, 2011
"An introduction to Partikl sound editing. How to make your own sounds for Mixtikl. Covers using the Noatikl seed pak, simple subtractive synthesis and using an LFO to do basic waveshaping.
(Apologies for audio the sync problems. Some problem with the encoding process)"

Rubicon TZ demo
Published on Sep 21, 2012 by UncertainMusicCorps
"Little demo to show some of the timbres you can get from the Rubicon oscillator with through zero FM.
What you hear is just the sine output from the Rubicon. The FM index is being modulated gently at audio rates from an AFG.The (linear) through zero modulator input is driven from an E350 Z output. I then do a slow manual scan through the entire wavetable in bank A of the E350, switch to bank B for a while and then return to Bank A.
Note sequence is generated randomly from A-149-1 clocked by Stoicheia. The sequence is multied to the 1v/oct inputs of all 3 oscillators."

Stoicheia (Demo)
YouTube Published on Jun 22, 2012 by UncertainMusicCorps
"First runthrough with Stoicheia - Euclidean step sequencer from Rebel Technology. Channel 1 and 2 driving kick and snare of Drum Dokta, Common clock from shuffled x8 output from SCM. Clap from output 1 of the SCM for reference. Hihats from sx2 of the SCM.
Sorry about the big hands. I did try to keep them out of the way as best I could."

Inauguration (Non measurement)
Published on Jul 16, 2017 UncertainMusicCorps
"First in what is planned to be a series of works using a very compact and self-contained modular system (known here as Tiny Dynamite v2) primarily under generative control via Wotja (by Intermorphic) on iOS.
In the spirit of the project, it seemed only right that a cut-up John Cage should act as MC.
As ever the recording is direct to camera and unedited. Headphones are recommended.
The layout of Tiny Dynamite can be seen in detail here https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/461188
Information about Wotja is here http://intermorphic.com"

Published on Dec 19, 2015 UncertainMusicCorps
"Clouds and Elements get cosy after dark.
Elements is in "Rings" resonator mode and is being fed Plague Bearer filtered noise. Resonator root pitch is adjusted by preset voltages from Pressure Points
Clouds is in standard granular mode under double joystick control.
Audio is recorded dry, direct to camera. There are no external FX and no post-processing."

Tabla fury (hayfever deepchandi)
Published on Jun 24, 2014 UncertainMusicCorps·56 videos
"Early morning Easel exploration before the hay fever kicks in. A deepchandi taal from the Radel box processed and generally screwed around with provides the backdrop for drone and melodic improv to do its thing. Midi clock from the Radel is syncing the Easel arpeggiator and the Easel output is going direct to camera (via an out of shot delay pedal). Play it loud."

Toolbox
Published on Dec 17, 2018 UncertainMusicCorps
"Workout for the 208 Toolbox.
Using random voltages to change sequence length adds interest and animation to a simple sequence playing on the complex oscillator. Waveshape and timbre is being modulated by a slow, self-cycling envelope.
Lead is from the Mod oscillator being modulated by an external Eurorack oscillator. The shape of the external wave and the modulation depth is controlled by the same envelope as the sequence.
Keyboard touch voltage is slewed to act as the envelope source for the lead voice, freeing up the envelope for its LFO like functions.
CVGT1 provides communication between the easel and the Euro module. There is also a clocked delay in the mix. Otherwise, recorded live and loud."

"An extended, one take, set of the amazing instrument that is Make Noise Strega plus 0-Ctrl. Its paired with an (off screen) looping delay. The audio is recorded directly from the mixer with no editing or post processing. Together, this duo are utterly compelling to me as a performance instrument."
