tsoniq fusion VA for Korg Minilogue XD & Prologue w/ Alpha Juno, JP-8000, & Jupiter-4 OSC Models

videos upload by tsoniq

via tsoniq

"fusion is a user oscillator for the Korg Minilogue XD and Prologue synthesisers.

fusion provides a complete virtual-analogue synthesiser, with extensive control from the Prologue or Minilogue XD front panel.

Layer fusion with the standard VCOs to thicken sounds and add sub-oscillators, or use it standalone to provide a complete virtual-analogue emulation of the Logue VCOs but backed with a 24dB/octave filter – all controlled from the main synthesiser panel by mirroring the VCO and VCF controls along with their modulation sources.

fusion provides:

- resonant 12/24dB low-pass, high-pass and band-pass filters with key-tracking and EG and LFO modulation from the front panel

- accurate emulations of the Minilogue XD VCOs, including shape, sync, ring and cross-modulation

- dual oscillators that shadow the corresponding VCO panel controls
- a dedicated high-pass trim filter controlled via the multi-engine ‘shape’ control

- an adjustable analogue ‘age’ controlled via the multi-engine ‘shift-shape’ control

- the ability to use the VCO mixer levels to cross-fade between VCO and the paired digital oscillator
fusion uses a newly developed high-quality audio engine, using 2x oversampling and anti-aliased virtual analogue oscillators, which include:
- emulation of the Minilogue XD’s VCOs, with all three waveforms, shape modulation, sync and ring modulation
- emulation of the Alpha Juno PWM Saw waveform (“hoover” sound)
- emulation of the JP8000 super-saw and super-square oscillators
- emulation of the JP-4 sawtooth and sawtooth + sub oscillator
- pulse and pulse + sub waveforms
- phase modulation waveform generators"

Korg Minilogue - Super Uber Extra Mega Patches

Published on May 11, 2017 Alba Ecstasy

"After I finnished my first bank for #Minilogue, I was very tempted to sell it and buy something else. And, as a au revoir memento, I wanted to tweak the Minilogue one more time. This is the result. What you hear are the next patch bank (some freebies too)(I only pumped up the gain - you know, Minilogue is a little bit quiet). And I'm not giving the Minilogue anymore. And yes, the reverb is the same Behringer RV600 #ReverbMachine.

Korg Minilogue + Volca Beats Dream Sequence Jam!
This is the "Kraftwerk Mix" because of it's awesome
"Computer World" feel. I am syncing the Minilogue OUT
to the Volca Beats IN but still triggering manually.
I just ordered a Roland JP-08 Boutique to add to this
little synthesizer setup. I'll buy a 2nd one for the 8 voice
poly chain. After that it's a Korg Volca FM & I'll be happy!
Reverb added to the Minilogue from my Alesis Multimix 4.

Recorded into Ableton LIVE! ;)

KORG Odds by Sinevibes

video upload by Sinevibes

"Odds is an oscillator plugin with stochastic control synthesis, designed and developed by Sinevibes. Works with KORG prologue, minilogue xd and NTS-1 synthesizers."

KORG Odds - playing with minilogue xd

KORG Odds - playing with NTS -1

"Odds is an oscillator plugin with stochastic control synthesis, designed and developed by Sinevibes. Works with KORG prologue, minilogue xd and NTS-1 synthesizers. Product page: https://www.sinevibes.com/korgodds/"

"Odds is a stochastic control synthesis plugin for KORG prologue, minilogue xd and NTS-1. It starts with a hybrid engine that features dual oscillators with a wide variety of sources – including virtual analog, FM, phase distortion, waveshaping, ring modulation, cross modulation, and lo-fi – all of them running at double the system sample rate for highest possible quality. Together with a state-variable filter, Odds offers a total of 80 different configurations, covering a huge spectrum of sounds. But the “stochastic control” part is what takes this plugin to an entirely new level: for every note played, Odds has variable trigger probability, selectable pitch transpose randomization patterns, plus further independent randomization of up to 4 additional synth engine parameters. These advanced features make it possible to create extremely complex, never-repeating melodic and tonal variations even out of the most basic note sequences. Add to this a highly flexible modulation generator with a multitude of envelope and LFO shapes – and, right within your existing device, you have the synthesis power and sophistication that can rival a small modular system.

HIGHLIGHTS

Bespoke dual-oscillator engine with multiple sound source types: virtual analog, FM, phase distortion, waveshaping, ring modulation, cross modulation, bit reduction, as well as hybrid (80 variations in total)
Adjustable note trigger probability
Individual randomization of pitch transposition, sound generator tone, modulation depth/speed, output level
Waveform generators run at 96 kHz sample rate with an anti-aliasing filter for superior quality
Built-in -12 dB/octave multi-mode state variable filter
Flexible modulation generator with 24 modes: exponential envelopes, linear envelopes, multi-waveform LFO (triangle, saw, square, pulse, trapezoid, peak), sample & hold, and random triangle
Built-in lag filters for noise-free, ultra-smooth parameter adjustment and modulation

"Build it, tweak it, connect it; a world of synthesis at your fingertips!

Korg is always building new ways to experience hands-on, fun music-making.
Now, you can too.

The Nu:Tekt NTS-1 digital KIT is a unique, flexible, and easy DIY synthesizer that you can easily assemble yourself, without any soldering (tool included!).

The first of its kind from KORG’s DIY-focused Nu:Tekt brand, NTS-1 packs a powerful synth and multi-effects engine into a compact form factor that you can carry and connect anywhere. Its DIY nature means it’s also very customizable. Explore the possibilities!

NTS-1 is also completely compatible with the logue-SDK*, so it is possible to run any custom oscillator and effect content available for minilogue xd and prologue, or, create your own.

* When using 3rd party plugins on the NTS-1 please consult with the developer first as the content may sound differently than with minilogue xd or prologue based on polyphony.

A wide range of sonic possibilities

Belying its size, the Nu:Tekt NTS-1 features a digital oscillator inspired by the MULTI engine as found on the acclaimed prologue and minilogue xd, along with an extremely capable arpeggiator including multiple ranges, scales, and modes, plus dedicated spatial, modulation, and delay sections, each with multiple settings to explore.

With a single monophonic digital oscillator, one multimode filter, on EG, three LFOs, three stereo effect processors, and full arpeggiator, the NTS-1 is a very powerful, flexible, fun-to-explore synth.

The main oscillator can produce Sawtooth, Triangle, Square and VPM waveforms, and can load custom oscillators created from Korg’s logue SDK, which means it’s compatible with content created for prologue and minilogue xd. These waveforms can be easily re-shaped and adjusted just by simply turning a couple of knobs.

A wide selection of filters (Low pass 2/4-pole, High pass 2/4-pole, Band pass 2/4-pole and OPEN mode, all with resonance) give you serious control over the overall tone of the oscillator.

The three onboard effects units are inspired by those on KORG’s minilogue xd, which itself took onboard effects to a whole new level. Numerous reverbs, modulation effects, and delays are available to blend and edit at will, to really finish out your sound creations.

NTS-1 also offers a fun and practical arpeggiator with several patterns available. Scales and numerous note orders including a Random mode are also available to create new and original ideas on the fly. The pattern length can be adjusted (from 1 to 24 steps) and, when synced externally, the step duration can also be adjusted (16th to 64th notes)

Thanks to its ribbon controller, simple interface and display, the NTS-1 can be played and enjoyed very intuitively. Deeper parameter changes are also possible with several combinations of buttons / knobs, furthering the possibilities. Don’t let its size fool you; NTS-1 goes deep but keeps it all easily accessible.

Customize the experience

The fun isn’t over after you finish building the NTS-1. The screws on the side panels are long enough to let you easily attach custom side panels.

Get creative and use the NTS-1 in a wide variety of setups. Equipped with AUDIO IN, SYNC IN, SYNC OUT and MIDI IN connectors, the NTS-1 can easily be used in combination with other hardware and software.

You can control it using external MIDI controllers and sequencers, use it to modify and audio signal with its powerful digital effects, or even sync it to other hardware and jam along!

It’s also USB micro-B powered so you can plug it directly to a portable battery and take it anywhere with you! You can also connect to your computer’s USB port or directly to the power supply using a standard USB power plug.

Free bundle of music software

The NTS-1 comes with a diverse variety of music software from Izotope including 'Ozone Elements' which lets you not only create songs but also master them using AI, 'Skoove' which will help you improve your keyboard playing skills, 'Reason Lite' DAW software, as well as software synths from KORG and other brands.

In other words, the moment you get your hands on this synthesizer you'll have a variety of tools to help you take your music to the next level."

Aquifex - Minilogue + Kaossilator Live Jam 081520

"This is another 'one synth/all parts' demo with a slight exception. I felt this demo needed some drum machine type drums/perc, so I had to go outside the Minilogue to add some some bits, but all other sounds are straight from the Korg Minilogue, built DAWless live with a looper and some external FX from the Zoom MS-70CDR. The TheoryBoard was used with the Minilogue to create the opening chord progression."

Time Machine - 64+1 patches for Korg Minilogue

Published on Mar 7, 2017 Alba Ecstasy

"64 + 1 patches for Korg Minilogue. When I received my Minilogue I was not in the mood for it. In fact, I was kind of a disappointed when I pressed the keys and hear it. After one week and a lot of work with my new studio location, I (re)discovered the Minilogue and I payed more attention to it. And right there, it was that feeling, and I was like traveling with a Time Machine, being able to create vintage sounds (helped by the noise of the delay) from vintage times...
Hoping you'll like too these sounds, here they are, in a short and partial video of the patches.

Patches can be purchased from: http://www.albaecstasy.ro/korg-minilo...

PS: in this video I used a small amount of reverb and the onboard delay of the Minilogue, on some patches.

New Korg Prologue Digital Analogue Polyphonic Hybrid Synth Coming to NAMM?

Update3: Full details including video are now up here.

Update: and we have an image via John in the comments. Also via Patrick in the comments: "'Digital engine' is a better translation. It looks like it offers a complete polyphonic analog voice plus a user-editable digital synthesis engine under the hood. Exciting stuff from Korg, even with the inevitable "single LFO, single VCF, no on-board sequencer" complaints."

Update2: more pics in via @synthjam via John in the comments.

---

This one spotted and sent in via Soviet Space Child.

Note it is auto translated from French, so read between the lines. Original French below. This is all speculation of course. We will find out soon enough. NAMM is next week.

"A 49-key, polyphonic analog polyphonic synthesizer and the 61-key, 16-channel version, which can be described as a "hybrid" synth by integrating a digital motor into the center of its fully analog circuit.

Close cousin of KORG's already famous Minilogue and Monologue, the prologue is a complete and fully programmable polyphonic analog synthesizer. Hormone boosted version, it is distinguished from these predecessors by a keyboard with large keys, a polyphony of 8 or 16 channels (depending on the model) and a new engine
digital sound (the multi-engine) greatly expanding the sound and customization possibilities. As you will understand, the prologue range includes two models: the 8-channel version of 49 keys and the 16-channel version of 61 keys. Let's find out more in detail what lies beneath this beast ...

Analog power

The prologue takes again the powerful analogical circuits which made the strength of its predecessors (Minilogue and Monologue), and thus proposes an incomparable quality of sound as well as an astonishing presence. More than 11000 electronic components have been used for its manufacture! The prologue is composed of 2VCO, 1VCF, 2EG, 1VCA and 1LFO. It also features the famous built-in oscillator allowing you to create unique waveforms to refine your harmonies and create breathtaking sounds. Add to that a bipolar low-pass filter and powerful distortion and you have a powerful analog palette to create deep bass, powerful leads, and the beautiful pads that are expected of a polyphonic synthesizer. Also note that the prologue is bi-timbral, and allows you to play two different programs simultaneously.

Despite its analog power, the prologue retains its ease of use and intuitive interface worthy of the latest KORG synthesizers. You will find on the panel the easy selection of channel modes (POLY, MONO, UNISSON, CHORD ...), the powerful arpeggiator, or the simplified selection (and sortable) of the 500 programs.

The freedom of digital

The ingenuity of the prologue goes beyond its analog design. Indeed, by adding to the original 2 VCOs a third MULTI ENGINE digital oscillator, KORG is exploring new experimental sites. This new engine, adding digital and FM waveforms, can be combined with analog VCOs to extend the sound potential of the prologue far beyond that of a traditional analog synthesizer. The noise generator, the VPM oscillator and the high-quality digital effects (modulation and delay / reverb) bring you complex metallic sounds and harmonics that you never thought possible.

Another novelty, and not least, this new engine MULTI ENGINE offers a USER mode that allows you to load oscillator programs of your own creation (and yes!) You can develop on the dedicated software (available in early spring 2018 ). There are sixteen slots for this parameter.

KORG manufacturing quality

Many waited for a Minilogue with big keys. In the end KORG did better, but still listened to users' comments. On the prologue, you'll find Japanese keyboards of 49 and 61 notes, with big keys, that offer the same feel and expression as the high end KORG keyboards.
Beyond the keyboard, KORG has really paid attention to the details of the overall design. The body of the prologue synthesizer offers a black aluminum panel, wooden side panels and metal potentiometers highlighting the beauty of the instrument that will be as comfortable on stage as in the studio.

The first copies of this powerful synthesizer should arrive in France in March. The price of the 8-way model should run around 1500 € and we are talking about 2000 € for the 16-channel version."

NAMM 2019: Korg Volca Modular and Minilogue XD [Episode 108]

Published on Jan 24, 2019 CatSynth TV

"We check out two of Korg's new synthesizer offerings at NAMM 2019: the Volca Modular and the Korg Minilogue.

'The volca modular is a semi-modular synthesizer consisting of independent analog synth modules, digital effects, and a sequencer. Each of the modules has been carefully selected for its stand-alone completeness. The modules are internally connected so that sound can be produced even before connecting the included pin cables, and the routing is shown by white lines on the panel. Module connections via a pin cable take priority over the internal connections, bypassing them.'

'In addition to emphasizing the same real analog sound and joy of controlling an electronic musical instrument offered by the original minilogue, the minilogue xd newly adds a digital multi-engine, effects, a powered-up sequencer, and micro tuning functionality, further expanding the possibilities for sound design and performance potential.
