Trigger Bus 1027b

video upload by yusynthman

Here a brief test of the Trigger Bus 1027 extension I designed and built for my MOS-LAB 2500. There bus A and B are connected to two indépendant ADSR that drive a VCA with white noise (Hat) and the 1047 resonant filter (Bass drum)"

Run test of brand new MOS-LAB ARP 2500 clone modules

video upload by yusynthman

"A bit of fun with my newly assembled ARP2500 base on the excellent MOS-LAB clone modules of the legendary ARP2500. I build a cabinet to host these and this my first fun patch. Sound is from the camera microphone though but it gives a fair idea. The modular is on its own , no additional synth or drums. The only FX I used was an echo-delay."

Tangerine Dream's Johannes Schmoelling meets the PPG-100 at Synthfest France 2019

Published on Jun 19, 2019 yusynthman

yusynthman aka Yves Usson is the man behind DIY & Arturia's Minibrute line of synths.

"During the recent SynthFest France 2019 in Nantes I had the great joy and honour to demonstrate my rare PPG-100 modular synthesizer to Johannes Schmoelling (Tangerine Dream 1978-1982, Loom) and Kurt Ader (musician and sound-designer at KApro). It was an exhilarating moment for me to demo TD like sequences before a former member of Tangerine Dream... I felt like in heaven ! This videao was shot by Nicolas Jalabert."

Description for the third video:
"During the Synthfest Fest France in France (june 7th to 9th 2019) I exhibited a very rare PPG-100 analog modular synthesizer (something like 10 units built in 1974). The keyboard is played by Tony Quenneville and the video was shot by Tarek Lule. On some motion of the camera you may catch a glimpses of an Emulator 2, a CMI Faitlight, ARP 2500 and ARP 2600 modulars, an 8 voices Schmitt and Synclavier controller that were also on display and test in the same room.

"Another way to program sequences with ratchet, different way of achieving ratchet with the Matrix although I prefer my other method (see previous video)"

Published on Mar 30, 2019 yusynthman

From the maker himself. YuSynth aka Yves Usson designed the original Minibrute. Be sure to check out: The Creator's Notebook - Yves Usson on MatrixBrute.

"Since I received many requests concerning the way I was programming ratchet sequences on the Matrixbrute here a short tutorial video. There is no black magic in there, just plain logic on how to use a basic step sequencer to achieve a ratchet effect. As I said before it is programed just like one would score it. I hope this will useful for Matrixbrute owners."

Fun with a Kobol

Published on Dec 30, 2017 yusynthman

I shot this video to test the Kobol synthesizer that I repaired for a friend. The Kobol is sequenced by a Q960 . The sound is recorded by the camera microphone therefore don't expect high quality... and sometimes one can hear me breathing (100% biological noise generator). As the sequence loops I have fun improvising with some of my synths : Waldorf MicroWave XT, Manikin Memotron, Arturia MatrixBrute, Yamaha CS15, lCrumar Multiman S and "Main Console" of the Roland System 700 modular"
