Gristleized Drone Commander

Untitled from Phillip Walker on Vimeo.

"This is a demonstration of a Drone Commander made by Eric Archer (ericarcher.net) being run through one of the new Gristleizers made by Endagered Audio (smashingguitarsasheville.com). The original Gristleizer was created by Chris Carter of Throbbing Gristle and Chris & Cosey (thanks Chris). Also involved in this piece is a cruddy stereo reverb made by Realistic."

"DISCLAIMER:

Many of the images used in this video were taken from a Google images search. If you are the owner if any of these images and do not approve of their use in this video, please contact me and I'll remove them.

Hey guys, been a while since I did a video but I've had this project in mind for some time now. Took a good few days to gather the raw materials and a few more of fiddling with Pro Tools, Fireworks and Windows Movie Maker (which will crash if you so much as look at it the wrong way)!

Anyway, this video might be a little slow for some people and bear in mind there may be room for improvement. Please leave some comments (constructive criticism more than welcome) if there's anything you'd like to know or think I should change.

This is part 2 of 2, which mainly focuses on the sounds of the Logan String Melody.

Hope you enjoy it!"

See the site for more. The following is just a snip on the Mark II Wind Controller. You'll find samples on site.

"The circuit boards are housed in a wooden case made from cherry and walnut with some decorative inlays on the bottom part. The main body of the case was assembled as an octagonal assembly, but was rounded on the outside for that traditional instrument look and shape. There are three circuit board assemblies, the main board that has the processor and other active circuitry, an upper switch assembly for the fingering buttons, and a lower switch and LED assembly. The lower assembly connects to the main board before being inserted into the case. The upper switch assembly is also inserted into the case and connects to the bottom half sandwich with a small ribbon cable."

flight of harmony newsletter July 2009

"light of harmony newsletter July 2009

Greetings!

A bit late, oh well. I’ve been busy clearing out the order backlog and am almost finished (hooray!). Currently building the last of the Infernal Noise Machine preorders, and hope to be finished this week/early next week.

· I still have a few sets of INM PCBs remaining if anyone is interested. USD$666.00 + S&H.
Lead time 8-12 weeks, as I still have to finish the Quad Plague Bearers and get going on a few other things.

· Two group buys currently in the sign-up stage:

o Joysticks – It’s time again! This time, however, the purchase is of brand new joysticks from the manufacturer – not NOS (New Old Stock) units from a liquidator. Details can be found in the Muffwiggler forum thread.

o Jacks – I finally found them! I have been searching for 3.5mm mono NC-switched vertical PCB mount jacks with M6x0.5 threaded bushing since I started f(h), and finally found some with a panel-PCB height less than 15mm. They are only slightly larger in dimension to the ubiquitous Kobiconn 16PJ13x. I know that many others have also wanted this style and I am so stoked on finding these that I’m organizing a group buy at cost – USD$0.075 each (7.5¢). Details in the Muffwiggler forum thread. The MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) has already been met.

That’s enough for now, toodles.
