"Test improvvisato di vari moduli eurorack. Basato sull'R-53 e R-51 Metasonix, filtrato dal Wiard Malekko Borg Filter, modulato da tutto ciĆ² che ho in rack!!!"
The Haunted Spaceship - or - How an Arp Axxe sounds with my modular synth for Halloween sounds
YouTube via nathanielscott
"Any analogue synth with a noise generator and a semi-decent filter is great for making spaceship noises. The AXXE is no exception.
My friend Stephen has had an idea about doing a short sci-fi film about ghosts in space (no not Space Ghost). If he an I ever get the film made I hope it has campy sounds like this."
A rocking theme
YouTube via attorks
"This rocking theme took several takes before the number of mistakes were acceptable ;-)
The 3 rows of the Doepfer MAQ16/3 sequencer drive 4 voices. The bass line consists of 2 voices; one Q106 VCO through the Q150 transistor ladder filter and one Q106 VCO through the CGS Steiner Synthacon VCF and the Oakley Equinoxe phaser. These first 2 voices have the same 8 step sequence running on row 3. The self build Modular (row 2) and the Creamware Minimax ASB (row 1) both have different 6 step sequences. The chords are performed on the Clavia Nord Lead 1.
The solo's on the Roland XP-80 with a synth lead sound and the Waldorf Q Keyboard with a church-organ-like sound."
arped ambient music with walking video - #1
YouTube via grauoliv
"I took my new camcorder for a walk on a sunny autumn day around a lake in my hometown. The video is 50% slowed down and I gave it the SciFi fx from iMovie 09. The music was already arped in fall this year. I had that huge brain track from The Orb in my mind while making it. The arp comes from a Korg Poly 8000, which I just got this year for about 150 Euro - what a bargain! The talking you hear is german, from the british SciFi series U.F.O. Feel free to give me some feedback."
Fat Controller MIDI to CV update
via Seb on the SDIY list:
"I've just posted a new OS version for my Fat Controller. Just a minor enhancement of the MIDI parameter control, but might be useful for some (was useful for me!)...
http://burnit.co.uk/sdiy/index.php?page=fatcontroller&subpage=code
Also, I now have PCBs back in stock if anyone's been waiting for one."
