MINDBLOWER 1977 Roland GR-500 Guitar Synthesizer Magazine Ad

via this auction

"Ad measures approx. 8"X10.5" inches."

Korg Mono/Poly with MP-KED MIDI Interface

via this auction

Note this is the one in these videos.

"The MIDI kit is from CHD Electronics and basically offers note on/off. However, this simple upgrade allows the MP-4 to be triggered from an external source in polyphonic mode. This installation was done behind the serial plate, which will be included in the sale if the buyer ever chooses to uninstall the kit."

Mochika 2.1 Atomosynth

via this auction

"Mochika2.1 handmade Analog Sequencer Synth MIDI Syncable

By AtomoSynth
Make insane effect loops, cool phrases, fat basslines or crazy percusion rhythms, change the sound in real time by tweeking the knobs on stage or in studio or connect it to your favorite effects (delay, flange, etc, etc)and create a wide sort of rhytm textures and soundscapes with this beautiful lighted analog sequencer synth box... And now sync it to any midi device like a drumbox midi sequencer or computer and play live!!!

This synth features one analog square and saw waveform VCO (voltage controled oscillator) with a huge pitch range, from subsonic to ultrasonic sound.

One square and triangle waveform LFO (low frequency oscillator), that modulates the VCO for the vibrato effect creating old school arcade Atari-like sounds.

White noise generator that triggers the VCO and can create percussion like sounds.

8 step Sequencer with note on/off switch and pitch knob for each step

Also, it has a built in vactrol based Low Pass Filter with cut off and ressonance controls that can be modulated by the LFO, the VCO depth and the sequencer, creating a wider sort of timbres and sound possibilities.

The Mochika2 features a MIDI input to sync the Mochika with any midi device sending midi clock signals, the mochika can sync 1, 2, 4 and up to 8 times the tempo of the master clock midi device. Also the instrument is ligthed with 1 bright red led that indicates the LFO Rate, and 8 red leds to indicate the step that is being played. Very useful when you play it on a dark stage.
The Analog Sequencer is packed in a cool laser cut clear acrilic case that shows all the hand made analog circuitry.
The instrument is powered directly from 110V or 220V AC.
Dimensions: 230mm(W), 170 mm(D), 80mm(H. incuded rubber feet and knobs)"

Modular: Soft-Touch Knobs

flickr by g.p.macklin
"I received some knobs today from MOTM/Synthesis Technology and wanted to see how they compared. They are:

1. Tiptop Audio
2. The Harvestman
3. MOTM/Synthesis Technology
4. Toppobrillo
5. Flight of Harmony

Each knob has a really nice non-slip grippy rubber surface. My favorites of the group are 2 and 3. The rubber on these knobs has slightly more grip.

NOTE: The knobs from MOTM/Synthesis Technology are a custom Rogan knob that Paul had made for his Frac Rack modules. They are not currently available for purchase from distributors. He was clearing out old stock so I picked them up for my DIY Eurorack modules. However, all of the other knobs are still available from various distributors.

"Haven't had much time for synthing lately, but I had to get this wacky patch on vid. At the center of the "timing" of the patch is the 4ms Rotating Clock Divider, clocked by the uLFO and rotated by attenuated white noise. The /2, /4, /5 and /6 divisions are mixed/slewed by the Maths, and the Maths OR out is taken to the Anti-Oscillator. From there to the Borg filter, then through the Sound of Shadows delay and finally half-mixed through the Sherman Filterbank. Other waveshaping and delay-diddling is achieved via the Noisering and one Envelator. The Boss PS-3 is also inserted via my junky external mixer.

So basically a total mess of FM'd, AM'd, delayed/shifted confusion. Voila, 'music'"

S-Case

YouTube via pickleinn — May 26, 2010 — "just got the serge STS s-case loaded. still need shorter feet for the upper panel.

quick and easy patch with the TKB, creature (variable q filter, right side of TGO and xfad), audio interface (resonant eq, DUSG), NTO, PCO, and middle wave multiplier."

259e Sequence

YouTube via boobtube356 — May 26, 2010 — "Again a pair of 259e oscillators provide the sound sources. Both are set up in tracking mode with the modulation oscillator controlling the morph, and running in hard sync mode. The principal oscillators are in mem skew "b" mode at about 2 o'clock. The results are going through the 292e in LPF mode and then to the 291e to emulate a resonant low pass filter. Buchla running in Moog mode, if you will. Just more tonal stuff for your enjoyment, and to demonstrate the range of this instrument, and the 259e in particular."
