32 MidiBox SID vs MonoMachine

"This video is in response to a request from user SH4RCR4SH in the comments of this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPu1Na... [posted here]

It's a comparison between some basic sounds from the MidiBox SID and the SID machine in the Elektron MonoMachine. I'd say they compare fairly well!

Longer version of the song at the end available here:

"This is a tune I've had in the MonoMachine for quite a while. Did a quick recording of it to accompany my MidiBox SID vs MonoMachine comparison video on YouTube. I will have to rework this piece before it can be properly released."

Sample and Reverb

YouTube via macbethsynthesizers | December 20, 2010 |

"Well here is a vid of me playing with a projected 5U Mk1 MacBeth Voltage Controlled Spring Reverberation module that will also feature Voltage Controlled Stereo Panning. I came across a lovely patch this morning using Sample and Hold from my analogue keyboard controller. It has two LFOs- I took a direct output from LFO 2 - S&H- and fed the control signal into the VC input of the spring reverb. So! I thought I'd record this stuff!
We have two Mk1 VCOs going into the Mk1 Filter 'A'- and they go into the VC Reverb. I'm also playing a Mk1 Oscillator 'B' into a Mk1 Filter 'B'- that is doing the bass stuff. There is my Korg CX-3 doing the organ stuff. All sounds abit strange..........but I hope you enjoy! Ken M"

YouTube via synthrotek | December 20, 2010 |

"Synthrotek's CCM allows you take the beat out of your DS-10 or computer or ipod (really anything that pans) and convert a beat into clock voltage. This allows the user to then connect the clock input into an analog sequencer, or really anything that takes clock voltage. Super rad, now you can perform with your DS-10 and your analog synths/gear. YESSS!!!"
