Blue Sound Master SR-88 & Electro Harmonix DRM 16

via DJ Josefo

All previous SR-88s posted have been dark gray (here, here, and a video here for example)

Update via Outa_Spaceman Being: 53 in the comments: "The blue SR-88 didn't have the 'sync' outputs that turned up on the grey version.
I used to record a 16th HH patten onto one track of my porta-studio then feed it into my EDP spider sequencer to lock everything together.
When the grey version came out it made things much easier.
The SR-88 also had a bigger brother with separate outputs but I can't remember what it was called."

"Modular stuff with the Moog Voyager thrown in. It should be obvious which core sound is the Voyager. The Voyager is run through the Cwejman RES-4, FSH-1 & VC-FC plus the TipTop Z5000 and Analogue Systems RS-290; and that's only on the right channel. The left channel goes through a Metasonix TM-2. The Metasonix R51 is in the feedback path of the Analogue Systems RS290 delay. You can see when it is brought into the sonic stew by watching the red diode on the right-most tube light up.

If you can stand watching until the last 45 seconds of the video, you'll see my new favorite trick: Making the Analogue Solutions BD78 self-oscillate and then sticking a very modulated STG Wavefolder on the end of it. Shhhh... don't tell anyone."

Vintage Synare 2 matrix drum synth

via this auction
"The Synare 2:
This was Star's flagship model., with one oscillator with sawtooth, and pulse waveforms,
white noise generator, etc.
But this had assignable functions, ie. routing the LFO to control certain parameters at once.
The LFO also added a sawtooth waveform) You could also select a wide range of octaves for the pitch to sound at, along with a fine tune function.
A major adjustment was the introduction of a fairly advanced sequencer with different patters, and the ability to change patterns and octaves. You could also adjust the speed and the note(s) sounded by the sequencer.
Plus, it had 16 pads instead of just four.
Retail price in 1976 was $1,395.00.
Made roughly from 1976-1982"

"The LSD module can take a simple beat and morph it into something entirely new. You can hear the "glitch mode" in action, when i turn the rate knob past 2:00. It also makes some spectacular vibrato/delay effects. Freak out on LSD ~ only from chamberofsounds.com"
