Elements Synthesizer External Input with Yamaha MR10 Drum Machine
Published on Feb 14, 2015 macbethsynthesizers
"I was asked by viewers on my Facebook account to post up a video of a picture that I took with a Yamaha MR10 Analogue Drum Machine plugged into the Elements Synthesizer External Audio Input. Initially, you will here the drum machine being filtered, and some spring reverb applied as well as using the dynamic Tape Delay Simulator at various setting. After some time I switch the routing of the External Input Amp to the Ring Modulator- that signal now being modulated by Oscillator 2...I've done this video because I am know cleaning up for a mega build. Yes, I'm building them myself!"

"OVERVIEW
Small drone generator with two classic oscillators, two sub-harmonic oscillators, a 12dB lowpass filter and photo resistor control. Interesting, unusual small machine inviding to play instantly! Very lovely is the handmade bag made of felt :)
DETAILS
The tone generator section consists of a square wave oscillator, a digital 12Bit sawtooth and two subharmonic oscillators, inspired by the Trautonium which generate sub-frequencies derived from a master frequency.
The level can be set for each oscillator and the frequency range is selectable between high and low. For the subharmonic oscillators that's possible only for both at the same time but you can set the frequency divider individually. A variable frequency control is possible only via three photo resistors on top of the unit which makes the Lumanoise V2 so outstanding. No oscillator is at the same base frequency which provides for frequency beating, so typical for drones.
A 12dB low pass filter with resonance shapes the sound. The cutoff frequency can be set either with the potentiometer (working in opposite direction, by the way) or two more photo resistors.

"OVERVIEW
http://www.errorinstruments.com/a-396...
Based on the TR-808's cymbal circuit consisting of six oscillators tuned to different frequencies, L.E.P developed the 808 Cymbal Drone Generator. The name says it all, doesn't it?
DETAILS
The six square wave oscillators are tuned to following fixed frequencies: 119Hz, 176Hz, 214Hz, 303Hz, 363Hz and 666Hz. Each oscillator's volume can be set with an individual potentiometer.
The oscillator mix passes a resonant 12dB/octave lowpass filter that's cutoff frequency can be either controlled by a potentiometer or two photo resistors.
