Modular, MicroBrute & BeatStep - Techno/House Jam

Published on Jan 22, 2015 KelleyBates

"Instead of doing homework, the modular called my name and I came up with this really weird patch, then tried to make some sense out of it by adding a beat and some sound from the Microbrute. I'm probably going to use that sound and create a whole track out of it."

SIRENS MARCH - MS-20 mini - microBRUTE SE - Volcas - Electribes - Korg Poly 800

Published on Apr 30, 2015 Arrayzable

"Just recently got the MS20-mini and loving it!
The microBTUTE is also getting a little playtime in this track and the Korg Poly 800 too.
The track mainly consists of 2 parts with the Volca Bass and Volca Keys sequenced by the Electribe ESX-1, which also delivers the drums and percussion. The Electribe EA-1 does some sequences and pads.
The beach footage is from the westcoast of Denmark- the North Sea. If you look beyond the curve of the earth you'll see the northern parts of Great Britain.
As always live play with synths and sequencers.

Used in this track:

Korg MS-20 mini
Arturia Microbrute
Korg Electribe EA-1
Korg Electribe ESX-1
Volca Keys
Volca Bass
Korg Poly 800"

DSI Tetra 'Push it 2'... Erm... without the 'Push it' button?

Published on Apr 30, 2015 DreamsOfWires

"Nothing exactly new, I liked the last version of this recording, but controlling the pitch of the second oscillator with an encoder was very hit and miss (albeit satisfying), therefore I decided to adapt the same sound so that I could control only the pitch of OSC2 with a midi keyboard, but with the keyboard triggering both oscillators instead of the 'Push It' button as before. Here are the results."

Super Synthesis - Rubbery Saw Sequence

Published on Apr 29, 2015

"Rubbery sawtooth sequence showing off VCFs from Super Synthesis"

via Super Synthesis

"VCFs from Super Synthesis is a dual voltage-controlled State Variable Filter in Eurorack format. Each filter has 1 signal input, 2 control voltage inputs with one attenuverter, and 3 signal outputs: Lowpass, Highpass, and Bandpass.

When the resonance control is turned fully clockwise, the filter will self-oscillate, yielding a sine wave on the three outputs, 90 degrees out of phase with each other. The non attenuating CV input and bus connections are scaled for 1V per Octave response, so a keyboard or sequencer can provide keyboard tracking, or play the sine waves in tune.

VCFs’ signal inputs are DC coupled, so the filters can process both audio and control voltages. Great for making slewed and resonant envelopes and sequences."
