New System 80 JOVE - Open Source Roland Jupiter-6 Inspired Eurorack Filter Module

You might recall System 80s Roland TR-808 eurorack module. It appears they now have a new open source eurorack filter module based on the Roland Jupiter-6. Demos below.

Details via System 80:

"The Roland Jupiter-6 is a 1980s analogue polysynth with a great sounding multimode filter that is quite distinct from other Roland filters of the same era. Here it is recreated in a 14 HP Eurorack module with an added 2-pole 12 dB low pass mode, reminiscent of the Jupiter-8. Like most vintage Roland filters, it is based around a cascaded Operational Transconductance Amplifier (OTA), in this case using the LM13700 OTA in place of the obsolete IR3109 quad OTA.

Sound

Carefully compared to an original Jupiter-6, JOVE is a faithful interpretation of the Jupiter-6 multimode filter without using obsolete parts.

Features

4 modes: 24 dB low pass, 12 dB low pass, band pass and high pass
2 audio inputs, one log attenuated and one non-attenuated
2 frequency CV inputs, one unipolar input and one attenuverted input
1 resonance CV input, non-attenuated
Open Source

JOVE is open source hardware. The design files are available on Github"

The P-293 Hyper Fist has a clock input which can be clocked at audio rate to produce AM effects or slowly at note/beat rates to produce interesting percussive synchronization.

"All the analogue drum and percussion sounds work perfectly and are calibrated and tuned to factory specs. The programming section is fully tested and working and benefits from having all the RAM renewed. The battery has also been upgraded from the old NICAD standard to a modern(non leaky!) high grade 1200ah Lithium battery which has a ten year lifetime. The power cable and plug were also renewed in service.

No noisy sliders, sticky buttons or anything else. Ready to go and make music with!

Physically in superb condition, the front panel and buttons are near mint. The case has some wear and tear but it really is minimal considering it's nearly 40 years old now!"
