PUSH TURN MOVE - Interface Design in Electronic Music

On Kickstarter here. Spotted this one on Retro Synth Ads Twitter feed.

"About this project

Hello!

My name is Kim Bjørn and welcome to the PUSH TURN MOVE Kickstarter campaign!

Like many others I have been following the development of music technology for years. As those years passed, I began to imagine combining my interest for design with my love of gear - in order to write a comprehensive book about interface design in electronic music.

PUSH TURN MOVE shows all kinds of equipment but the ambition goes further: It provides a categorization of musical gear and software and explores the functional, artistic and aesthetic world of user interfaces in the context of making electronic music.

Initially the book was born out of my own passion. However it has now developed into a multi-voiced project since it presents the diverse thoughts of a long list of innovative makers, artists and companies who conceived or use these great music making tools.

Quite unique is that a string of significant brands have joined the book side by side to share their knowledge about the growing family of instruments and software for making electronic music.

So what exactly is PUSH TURN MOVE and why do we seek funding on Kickstarter? The answer is that PUSH TURN MOVE is a niche book, not aimed at a mainstream audience. Watch the video, take the tour below and please support the book by selecting a reward if you like the idea.

"Soulsby Synthesizers will be at Superbooth 2017 in Berlin from 20th-22nd April. If you (or anyone else from your company) are attending we would love to show you our new products.

We are at Booth H254 on the first floor (near the toilets!). Please let us know if there is a specific day and time you would like to visit and I can make sure that I am at the booth to demonstrate the products.

Here is some info on the new products:

AT-ARP

This is a new 2HP Eurorack module based on the Atmegatron Arpeggiator algorithm. Features include:
• 16 Atmegatron patterns
• 16 User patterns
• MIDI input via mini-jack
• Chord generation via 2x V/Oct inputs
• Clock input
• V/Oct output
• Clock division settings
• Ping-pong mode

Although the AT-ARP is only 2HP, it contains a lot of powerful features and implements the full potential of the Atmegatron Arpeggiator algorithm.

The AT-ARP will be available in summer this year, price TBC, but around €99.

Oscidrum software for Oscitron

This is an 8 part, 16 step drum machine for the Oscitron Eurorack module. The software will be available for free. The overlay and programmer cable (along with an Odytron overlay) will be available as an Accessories Pack for the Oscitron.
Oscidrum features includes:

• 8 drum samples in crunchy 8-bit 11kHz.
• Each instrument has volume, pitch, length and delay FX parameters. All bar the latter are controllable via CV.
• 8 user patterns (also saves instrument parameters)
• Engine sample rate controllable locally or via V/Oct input (so can play melodies using the drum sounds!)
• External reset and pattern select CV input
• Clock input and audio output
• Currently 2 banks of sounds available (this will increase in time)

The Oscitron Accessories Pack will launch in May this year. Price €19.

Many thanks and I hope to meet you there!
