Akai Professional® Announces 3.0.1 Firmware Update for Force

The Press Release:

"Update introduces new Launch/Note Mode, side-chain compression (the Mother Ducker), updated recording preferences and improved auditioning of samples/loops.

Cumberland, RI USA (February 5, 2019) — Hot off the heels of Force’s public debut at NAMM 2019, Akai Professional, a leading manufacturer of music equipment for performers and producers, today announced the release of a 3.0.1 update that introduces a number of new features and workflow refinements to this ground-breaking live performance and music production device.

Force arms musicians, DJs and producers with all essential functionality for the modern clip- based workflow including clip launching, step sequencing, sampling, synths and a 7-inch multi-touch display. Force is designed for the user who wants a standalone product with the latest in modern workflow techniques, free from being connected to the computer. - Updated recording preferences allowing users to use fixed length clip recoding
- Improved auditioning of sample and loops within Force’s browser – now, files with
embedded tempo information will audition in sync with Force’s master BPM
- Drum program enhancements –users can mute or solo pads in a drum program
using Force’s hardware control surface
- Force can now load FLAC and OGG files
- The AIR dynamics plugins Compressor, Channel Strip, Maximizer, Transient and

GRP Vocoder V22

Spotted on sequencer.de

Googlish:

"GRP has just shown a vocoder as a draft, he obviously has access to his 22 tapes - hence his name V22 - and you can patch them apparently - which usually does not work, certainly analog and therefore interesting."

Dr. Böhm Digital Drums (1983) - short demo

"Short demo of my Böhm Digital Drums which got an in depth cleanup today. Works flawlessly again."

Oberheim TVS1 Two Voice (built between 1975-1979) - simple sequencer jam

Published on Oct 15, 2018 Xaver von Treyer

"A quick jam on the freshly serviced Oberheim TVS1. Up for sale soon via the known channels: eBay & Spheremusic. If it doesn't meet the price expectation I will keep it. It's a beautiful synthesizer and it sounds amazing. I used to own a SEM and sold it. This is a notch above the SEM to put it mildly: sequencer 2 SEMs, a keyboard, S&H, semi-modular mod. It checks all the boxes and the guy that did the service did an amazing job.

This is the real thing. No re-issue, no clone. Pure analog bliss."

Roland SH-7 duophonic synthesizer (short demo triggered by TR-707)

Published on Feb 5, 2019 Xaver von Treyer

"A short demo I recorded in 2014. I no longer own this synth. As good as it sounded we never really bonded properly so it found a new loving home."
