ALM Busy Circuits Squid Salmple // Fast & powerful 8 channel audio and CV sampler in Eurorack

Published on Jul 11, 2019 DivKidVideo

"So here's the Squid Salmple from ALM Busy Circuits. It's an 8 channel Eurorack sampler that can record, mangle, modulate and playback audio or CV. It's fast and immediate with quick on the fly recording options and an easy interface that very quickly became a fast and intuitive way to work with both audio and CV. There's a phenomenal bank of samples that comes with it on the USB stick that's really well put together from a range of artists and sources. You've got 5 outputs, 3 assignable (to multiple destinations) CV inputs, 8 trigger inputs and plenty of control and options. I'd love to hear what you think about the module and the video so leave a comment and let's chat. Skip around with the timing index below if you see fit and cheers for watching!

PLEASE NOTE - all no talking demo patches are entirely dry with the outputs just mixed on the HexMix with level, pan and EQ.

Using Arturia's MicroFreak with VCV Rack

Premieres Jul 11, 2019 Omri Cohen

"Well, making this video took longer than I expected, and only because I spent more time playing and enjoying this little device than actually recording... The MicroFreak from Arturia is such a nice companion to VCV Rack, able to connect in various levels at the same time like sequencing voices in VCV, acting as a Midi controller for hands-on experience tweaking parameters in VCV, and even receive sequences and modulation from VCV.
Thank you, Arturia for sending me the MicroFreak!

Best Ambient Synth Shootout #74: Access Virus A - Song 3

Published on Jul 11, 2019 Christian's Sonic Spaces

"This is the third song with the Access Virus A. It's a 12 voice polyphonic virtual analog synth with two OSC per voice and two independent resonant filters.

I used for the recording the following FX:
Alesis Ampliton, Pigtronix Echolution 2 Deluxe, GFI System Specular Reverb 2. Depending on the recorded track some FX are deactivated

The signal went through a Presonus StudioLive 16.0.2 into the PC via USB for recording. To create the complete song I recorded consecutively several stereo tracks. The final song was then mastered with a bit EQ and compression on some tracks and some limiting on the master track."
