M83 - Outro Pad with Prophet Rev2 + Strymon BigSky

"The first patch I made with Rev2 is a soundalike of the famous and amazing Outro pad by M83.
I still prefer the original sound but I love this one too :)"

Simmons SDS-1 EPROM Digital/Analog Drum Synth & Huge EPROM Library (60 EPROMs) SN 005758

According to the listing, this is the one featured in these videos.

"Includes 60 SDS Drum EPROMs, for use with Simmons SDS-1, SDS-7, SDS-9 drum synths.

Up for auction is a white vintage Simmons SDS-1 EPROM-based electronic drum pad in working condition, including 60 different Simmons EPROMs which are also compatible with Simmons SDS-7, and SDS-9 drum synths.

The EPROMs included with this auction are reproductions of original Simmons EPROM chips, almost all of the chips are original Simmons sounds, and is rare to see such an expansive library of Simmons EPROM chips being offered on eBay. I have posted recordings of all of the chips in this auction being performed by the SDS-1 in the link below.

The Simmons SDS-1 is a single voice drum synth that uses 8k or 16k EPROMs to play back 8-bit drum sounds and effects. The drum synth can be triggered by hitting the drum pad or via an external trigger input. There is a modulation section on the drum synth that allows you to set the pitch and pitch bend direction, then a separate runtime generator allows you to dial in a random pitch generator that can range from subtle to extreme. Please check out my link below to some MP3s I made with the SDS1 drum synth as well as YouTube videos (the SDS-1 in the YouTube video is the same one being auctioned here).

The Simmons SDS EPROM drum pad is confirmed 100% working, ZIF, LED, external trigger, output, and knobs are all functioning properly. All 60 drum sound EPROMs included with this auction have been tested/verified and are also confirmed working. Battery functionality has not been tested, as the battery cover is missing and is often missing on these vintage drum synths.

The Rebirth of the Modular Synthesizer on TEDx Talks

The Rebirth of the Modular Synthesizer | Jarod Sommerfeldt & Bobby Rice | TEDxSUNYPotsdam

Published on Aug 23, 2019 TEDx Talks

"The modular synthesizer dominated the world of electronic music in the 1960s and 70s, yet fell out of favor as the digital revolution took hold. Today, modular synthesizers are receiving an overdue renaissance, thanks in large part to a strong community of dedicated builders, artists, and fans. Enjoy the live performance in conjunction with this talk, that aims to demonstrate how the past can influence the future of creativity in electronic music. Dr. Jerod Sommerfeldt teaches music theory, composition, and electronic music at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam.

Bobby Rice is a student in the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community."

Novation Circuit - Redshift

Published on Aug 23, 2019 Silver Reef

"This ambient-ish track was an exercise in messing around with LFOs. The Circuit has some pretty unique LFO shapes available in the patch editor. Some follow specific scales, and others have interesting rhythmic patterns.

All sounds coming from the Circuit. Patches are from the factory Circuit pack and slightly edited. EQ/limiting in Reaper. Shot on Canon 80D."

Crumar DS-2 Rare Analog Synth in Excellent Condition

"Crumar DS-2 Rare Analog Synth. Super rare 2 voice analog synth (yes it's full analog) with polyphonic digital synth that can be turned on or off. This synth sounds huge and the poly synth sounds great under the mono or by itself. LFO 2 has a very rare ladder mode not found on any synth plus S&H. This is like a cross between A Pro-1 and and Oberhiem. Has all knobs but the Speed Glind. Powers on and works perfectly but sold as is. Amazing condition for how rare and old this synth is.

Here's a classic video showing what it can do." [Jexus video posted here]
