Oberheim is Back!

video upload by Oberheim Official

"You heard that right: Oberheim is back. And a new chapter is about to begin.

Brought to you by Tom Oberheim, former Oberheim engineers Marcus Ryle (co-founder of Line 6/co-creator of the ADAT) and Tony Karavidas, with Sequential’s Dave Smith and his team.

Visit oberheim.com to sign up for updates on what’s in the works.

And get ready to party like it’s 2099.

----------------------------------------------

Video Cast: Tom Oberheim, Marcus Ryle, Dave Smith, and Tony Karavidas.
Music by Julian (J3PO) Pollack"

Why this matters: in case it's not obvious, the Oberheim brand and lineage is back with the rightful owner. Moog was first, followed by Sequential, and now Oberheim. Bob Moog did business as Big Briar until he managed to secure the Moog name back. Dave Smith did business as Dave Smith Instruments until acquiring the Sequential name back. And Tom Oberheim did business as Tom Oberheim.com, until now. He now has the rights to the Oberheim brand and has the support of others to build new Oberheim products. We now have the original Moog, Sequential, and Oberheim brands back with the original legacy.

P.S. Nice coasters!

P.P.S. Curious what synth we are hearing in the trailer... :)

Update: Looks like it is indeed a new Oberheim. via @iamj3po:

"If you know me, you know how much I love synths. I could not be happier than to help announce that OBERHEIM HAS OFFICIALLY COME BACK!!! I’ve had the great pleasure and honor to work with them on the new secret sauce that will be coming out 😉 and if you want to hear it…well I composed the music for this little video, and I did the whole thing with the new instrument (except for the kick and snare, which are Oberheim DMX samples). If you like synths, and especially if you like Oberheim…this should make your day! Be sure to follow the new Oberheim IG page @oberheim_electronics … more soon ❤️"

In the Studio with Diego Ave // Novation

video upload by NovationTV

"We joined Diego Ave in his studio to learn a bit more about his inspirations and just how he developed his music production skills. Watch Diego, using just FLkey Mini, fly between the keys and FL Studio, building his beats at pace.

Diego Avedano, more commonly known as Diego Ave, is an unstoppable force in the music industry. Hailing from Miami, the 11-time multi-platinum and two-time GRAMMY award-winning hip-hop record producer and songwriter is known for his ground-breaking and influential work. When he’s in the studio, he needs the perfect piece of equipment to support his creativity and get his music sounding just the way he wants it to; that’s where FLkey comes in.

We're excited to introduce FLkey - the first MIDI keyboards designed for music production in FL Studio, a game-changer for FL Studio producers. FLkey is the ultimate MIDI keyboard for making music in FL Studio and brings the most important on-screen controls of FL Studio right to your fingertips. With controls for FL Studio’s Step Sequencer, Channel Rack and Mixer, and creative Scale and Chord modes, FLkey lets you play freely so you can make more of your music.

Moog Sub37 free rhythmic looping sounds no talking. Techno Industrial

video upload by David Bessell

Also see Andromeda A6 Free Sounds No talking by David Bessell.

"Exploring looped envelopes and synched LFO's ten free presets. Download here https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/p...
Each segment in the video starts with the preset and then demonstrates how they can be morphed into all sorts of related rhythmic loops. (just experiment and keep the DAW recording!) Just four examples are given in the video, there are ten in the downloadable link. Intended to spice up more conventional kick snare and hi hat patterns. the presets are named by BPM, synch to your DAW at those tempos otherwise they will not sound right. Several of them will work at other tempos but a few get a bit messy and random at different speeds. Have fun."

LUMAMIX_Resonant_Mixer

video upload by LepLoop

"The new LUMAMIX it's the last addiction to the Lumanoise family, a four channel mixer with send\return and a resonant equalizer, inspired by the Polymoog resonator section.
Available also in euro rack format 8HP, audio from the camera, more infos: https://lumanoise.blogspot.com/2022/0..."

"Lumamix has four jack\mini jack audio input, jack\mini jack send\return, the send out it's pre the resonant equalizer and the return can be seen as 5° input.

The main output it's mono jack or stereo mini jack, all the channels go through the resonant equalizer where you can select the type of filter, low pass, band pass, high pass and the frequency range low, medium, high. The equalizer can resonate, and the cut-off can be controlled via the Light Dependent Resistor, the LDR can be activated with the switch.

The gain knob set the level before the equalizer.

We can also offer the Lumamix in Euro Rack format.

The Resomix 8HP with 3 input, send\return and cv control over the cutoff frequency."

"One sample mutated by the new Miso Modular Cornflakes.

The purpose of 'TEST SERIES' is to focus on the sound design possibilities of various gear combinations. This series is not musical nor does it serve as an instructional video. It is all about sound potential.
