BPB 64 - FREE Commodore 64 Virtual Instrument

video upload by Bedroom Producers Blog

"BPB 64 is a freeware virtual instrument by Bedroom Producers Blog. It uses multi-samples to recreate the sound of the Commodore 64 home computer.

https://bedroomproducersblog.com/2022...

BPB 64 includes 30 presets, covering bass sounds, pads, leads, and the inevitable fast-paced arpeggios that make the SID chip so legendary. All sounds were captured raw, directly from the SID chip, so you're getting the same infamous grit and lo-fi crunch that you'd get if you hooked up a C64 directly to your audio interface."

Synth Cafè presenta: Grp Synthesizer A1 con Enrico Cosimi

video upload by Synth Cafè

First demo of the new GRP A1 Mini Desktop Synth posted here. Front panel and system diagram pics below.

"For the first time ever, Grp Synhesizer presents Grp A1

The Grp A1 monophonic synthesizer can be used as a standalone instrument or external signals can be filtered through the Low Pass 18dB VCF resonant circuit.
The presence of three internal signals (VCO, SUB and NOISE) guarantees tonal power and ease of use. With the two low-frequency oscillators - LFO (the first integrates a Sample & Hold S&H) and the ADSR envelope generator, it is possible to have cyclical or transient modulation behaviors.
The instrument can be powered via a USB Type-C cable connected to any 2.5A USB power supply. A1 can also be extracted from its cabinet to be easily installed in any Eurorack modular system by powering it using the normal flat cables supplied with Eurorack systems

"The Arturia Polybrute has an extra LFO....and it turns out it was inside of you all along. Ok, maybe it was inside the mod matrix instead."

Soundtoys Effect Rack Preset: Looking Glass Pad

video upload by soundtoys

"Reversed audio with shimmering pad and stereo pulse. Ideal for leads, but works for most things. Tremolator depth adds harder pulses. PrimalTap can be used to freeze loops as well.

Arturia Pigments 4 Polychrome Software Synth Update - Sonic LAB

video upload by sonicstate

"Arturia's Pigments 4 synthesizer plug-in is now at version 4. The instrument has been well received since its first release and is Arturia's first original software instrument. Version 4 adds a few new features but leaves the main instrument. If it ain't broken, why change too much? Pigments remains a tasty and versatile instrument available as a free update to existing users, and currently on sale at €99 from €199 at time of posting.

Editor Nick takes a look.
