Kind of interesting these have US in the serial number. Did any other Roland synths do this?  The Juno-106 didn't as far as I can tell. Remember this for Synth Jeopardy.

"Roland MKS-7 synth module in EXCELLENT condition. I doubt there are many out there like this. Super clean module in perfect working order. Comes with original box, original manual, original sound chart and power cord. First owner, purchased new. Used sparingly in a smoke-free studio. Rack ears are also in excellent shape. For those who don't know, this is a multi-timbral unit: 3 parts incorporating Juno 106 sounds/architecture and 1 part with TR-707 drum sounds. Use in conjunction with a sound editor/controller to create a multi-timbral Juno 106 sound module! A hugely under-rated synth module."

Moog Mars Musings Part I - a Moog Voyager Tribute by Todd Barton

via Todd Barton

"Back in January 2004, when NASA’s Rover Lander touched down on Mars, Todd Barton began creating and posting a one minute daily music composition based on that day’s image from NASA’s website. Using his new Signature Moog Voyager as the exclusive sound generator, a looper and an effects pedal he created 110 Moog Mars Musings tracks.

Soon after the first few posts Edmund Eagan responded with the idea of tying each score to a current Mars image. Near the end of February Edmund started to create and synchronize his video manipulations with the music and posted those on his site.

The mars musings project ran online every day from January 25 to May 14th, 2004.

Here are the first 20 of the Moog Mars Musings project. More to follow over the next few months.

all best wishes,
Todd"

"So the Circuit tour has begun in earnest at the Budapest 2015 Music Expo so I thought what better way to celebrate this fantastic instrument than to record a quick track in my hotel room.

Novations Circuit is so complete... it sounds amazing and such a joy to work with. The sonic possibilities are totally diverse and it sounds stunning... I'm pretty damn proud of this thing and everybody involved in making it!
Next week is Italy so I hope to get some more stuff up then.

"Fully working but needs tuning and some ELKOS of keys have to be replaced.
Both described here by a guy from ableton: [here] (search for "atol" 's posts, there is the exact link how to do those things. it is really not difficult if you good at soldering, the ELKOS cost 30cent each, so the whole changing of elkos will be about 10 or 15 EUR i guess. Really no big deal! "atol" extra mentions in that thread that those 2 issues are normal and common with this SYNTORCHESTRA)

There are some scratches on top, the fuse got bridged, it works but could be replaced. One of the mono sound switches has a 1mm chip, you don't even see it on the photos)

The last tuned one with ELKOS replaced got sold for about 1300 EUR on ebay!

"Vintage JEN SX1000 Vintage Analog Monophonic Synthesizer (1978)

Great Analog Synth, originally Italian built, internal transformer modified to work both 120V & 240V without need for switch or external step down transformer.

Fully functional, all keys, knobs, jacks, in full 100% order. A very capable synth on its own with a myriad of filter & midi mods available online (not included.) Very slight surface rust on rear panel which has not changed or degraded in the 22 years I've owned this synth. Power throw switch illuminates bright red when synth is on.

Wood cheeks show minimal wear, really not bad for a 35 year old instrument. A number of colored knob decals have fallen off over the years, very easy and inexpensive to replace with DIY adhesive foil or decals (instructions online, not included) none of which effects functionality.

Auction includes:

– JEN SX1000 Analog Mono Synth
– Power cable
– 2 prong to 2 pole power adapter"

"Mitch Gallagher gives an overview of Roland's Boutique Series synthesizers: the JP-08, JU-06, and JX-03, along with the optional K-25m keyboard controller and module dock. These synth modules bring back classic Roland synth designs for a new generation of musicians, using their Analog Circuit Behavior modeling to re-create their original analog character.

All of these synth modules give you the sound and feel of working with the original synths, plus some new enhancements. The JP-08 is based on the Jupiter-8 synthesizer, and expands on the original with extra waveforms and an extended VCO range. The JU-06, based on the Juno-106, adds a variable highpass filter and a faster LFO. And the JX-03, modeled after the JX-3P, adds extra waveforms for the LFO and DCOs, as well as an extended DCO range.

These synth modules offer tons of hands-on control, built-in sequencers, and true portability thanks to battery operation and a built-in mini speaker."
