video upload by elz production

"it's really really fun experience to make some e.p sounds and tweaking some motion pad patches!"

OAM Time Machine - First Look

video upload by John Schussler

"I have an addiction to delays. I have many, many delays.

But the OAM Time Machine is different, and very, very good. It's big, but
that's what happens when you add a lot of sliders to something. I'd actually
be ok with it being even bigger, if they'd add cv control over each slider/time division.

But even without that it's pretty much the bee's knees.

The basic input is a very sparse random pattern (quantized) from a Clank Chaos.
Source VCO is a Noise Engineering Sinc Legio. Wee bit of reverb on the
final output, but not much.

So very, very nice."

Behringer Teases PolyOSC - A Polyphonic OSCar

via Behringer

"Once upon a time, the OSCar synthesizer was born—a groundbreaking instrument crafted by the Oxford Synthesiser Company between 1983 and 1985. Ahead of its time in many ways, the OSCar was one of the few mono-synths of its era to feature MIDI, making it a sought-after tool for musicians. With only around 2,000 units produced, it became a cult classic known for its distinctive sound and innovative design.

Fast forward to today, and we’ve taken inspiration from this iconic synth to develop the POLYOsc prototype. This modern version builds on the legacy of the OSCar, incorporating many additional features while staying true to the original’s spirit. However, whether the POLYOsc will move from prototype to production is still undecided. That’s where you come in. We’re looking to the community for feedback to help us determine if the POLYOsc should become a reality. Your thoughts and input are essential in guiding this decision, and we invite you to share your opinions with us. Let’s continue the OSCar’s legacy together."

Arturia SQ80 V | Barcelona Nights

video upload by Mamotreco

"Arturia SQ80 V leads the Arturia V collection pack in this off-kilter and frenetic VGM PlayStation 1 coded track.

On the video side you’ve got a Sony RX100 under cranked for that 90s nightlife vibe."

Prophet 5 and Moog Muse

video upload by Maffez Synthmods

"Little fun 'comparison' between Moog Muse and Sequential Prophet 5, Rev4. Some sounds are not super well matched, but you get the drift. Rev 4 filter is set to SSIi2140. The Muse is always on one side of the panorama and the Prophet 5 on the other. This is not meant as an 'whats better?' or 'can x replace y' thing - I was just interested in how close they can get for some basic sounds. WAV file can be downloaded here (scroll to teh very bottom of the page): https://maffez.com/?page_id=4776"

Not for the Impatient

video upload by Todd Barton

"Exploring and discovering the different timbres and textures that evolve from slowly increasing and decreasing the FM Index knob. Modules used the Soundfreak EMS Dual Filter/Oscillator and the Dual Ring Modulator. What you hear here is the dry signal. A version with Plate/Spring reverb on my SoundCloud here: / not-for-the-impatient" Kind of interesting if you play both slightly out of sync at the same time.

HIT EM In The Underground | Make Noise

video upload by MAKEN0ISE

"'Hit Em' is a genre of music literally dreamed up by Drew Daniel of Matmos. After he published a tweet describing it, hundreds of people started posting their own Hit Em music.

The parameters are simple: 212 beats per minute. 5/4 time. Super crunched out sounds. Let’s be honest here… that is in our wheelhouse."
