"1990s Freeform Analogue Technologies (made by license under MAM) rack clone of the infamous 303 Bassline. Square and triangle waves, a gnarly filter & excellent rave-esque fluoro orange graphics with EMS knobs. A serious weapon! Includes AU (240v) PSU."

"monophonic analog clone of the TB-303. The FAT Freebass FB 383 was made under licence by MAM and is a version of the MB 33 with a special front-panel design as part of an exclusive deal with Turnkey music shop UK - which is where I bought it originally. The FAT Freebass FB383 offers all the same basic sounds and controls as the original TB-303 in a 1-unit rack module. There are 8 basic knobs for the same basic 303-like control: tune, filter cutoff, resonance, envmod, accent and decay. Unlike the 303 however, the oscillator can be controlled from sawtooth to square from one of the knobs on the front. There is also an external audio input to the filter for processing other sources and a dipbutton control to select the MIDI channel. On the front there is a power on LED, a MIDI activity LED and an auto tune button."

"Mint condition FAT Freebass FB 383 MAM Mono Synth Roland Tb-303 Clone

This has a pure Analog signal path and has that original drippy 303 tone. It’s wonder from new and in superb condition / not much to say really it does what is says on the tin....

I’ve used it for lead sounds as well as 303 - it’s actually a good lead synth as well.

"Excellent clone of the classic (and still very expensive Roland TB 303)

Fully tested and in great condition.

Includes manual and original uk power supply

Great for late 80s to 90s acid sounds found in dance/electronic music. Try running it through some distortion pedals or an analog desk for face melting sounds..great fun!"

"Lovely sounding proper analogue monosynth, releases as a 303 clone, albeit without the sequencer etc, I think it sounds more like an SH101, which is no bad thing!"

"FAT FREEBASS FB383 (MAM)ANALOGUE TB-303 CLONE

20 years on, it's a little bit temperamental at times but still sounds great!,

Quick demo inspired via another YouTuber Video regarding the "I Feel Love" Bass line sequenced from the Roland TB 303 (cv/gate)"

"Freeform Analogue Technologies Freebass FB383 - Basically a rebranded version of the Music And More (MAM) MB33, which is basically a Roland TB-303 clone. It's a pure analog synthesizer with a real VCO and a rich squelchy highly resonant filter. The famous 303 glide/slide is controlled by playing legato (or increasing the gate time on an arpeggiator.) I believe these were made in Germany in the mid 90's."

"Famous German made TB303 clone sold under different names:
MAM MB33
Freebass FB-383

This is the Orange and silver version, I also have the older black version for sale. Perfect condition.

The MB 33 is a rack-mounted TB-303 clone released in the mid-nineties by German synth maker MAM (Music And More). It's basically identical to the Freebass 383 (which had a different front-panel design). It is a true analog monophonic bass synthesizer with MIDI implementation so you can create 303-like bass lines from your sequencer. Its single VCO offers the same two basic waveforms as the TB-303: a sawtooth and square wave. But in the MB 33 they can be mixed together for a more interesting tone than the 303 could originally produce.

Additional knobs control the VCO tuning, filter frequency cutoff, resonance, envelope mod amount, envelope decay time and accent intensity - the same controls found on the TB-303! The 24dB lowpass filter can also produce the characteristic sound of the 18 dB filter used in the original 303. There's also an auto-slide function (4 octave range) for producing those 303-style slides and a separate input for filtering external signals through it. Unfortunately there is no program storage."

"FB 383 offers all the same basic sounds and controls as the original TB-303 in a 1-unit rack module.

It has just 8 basic knobs for the same basic 303-like control: tune, filter cutoff, resonance, envmod, accent and decay.

Unlike the 303 however, the oscillator can be varied from sawtooth to square from a knob on the front!

Also featured is an external audio input to the filter for processing other elements.

The Freeform Analogue Technologies (FAT) Freebass FB383 (also sold as the MAM MB33) is a 1U 19-inch rack-mounting MIDI synthesizer module dedicated to doing just one thing - imitating the sounds of the Roland TB-303 Bassline.

It uses genuine analogue technology to produce the familiar 'acid' sounds, but adds MIDI control, so you don't have to cope with the Roland's quirky programming system - just hook up the Freebass to your MIDI sequencer, and play away.

Dispensing with fripperies such as patch memories and continuous controllers, the Freebass is all about live performance - once you start twiddling those knobs in real time, you'll be lost in a world of acid madness.

Features include MIDI input, selectable MIDI channel using DIP switches, an audio input for routing eternal sources through the Freebass filter, a single mono output, Auto-tune function, and controls for Tune, Wave (variable between square and sawtooth, so actually capable of a wider range of sounds than the Bassline), Filter Cutoff, Filter Resonance, Envelope Modulation Amount, VCA/VCF Accent (triggered when MIDI velocity signal is above a certain level), Envelope Decay and Master Volume."
